This is a very good quality rod and just what my husband was looking for. I thought he would cry when he unwrapped the gift - he is so pleased. He had mentioned the "South Bend" brand before - I am so glad I listened and got this for him. I know he will enjoy it for many years!!

Picture looks like a spinng rod pole. Not bait caster.
Not a bad product at all but I'm disappointed in the picture of it. Was misleading. I see it says casting rod. But the picture shows. Spinning rod picture. It came a bait caster rod. I will keep it. But I'm not too happy. Wanted a spinning rod of the same make and model. :(

Broke in half on the first fish I caught.
Bought this rod less then a year ago, first time using it on the first fish it broke right in half. It was at a very thick part of the rod that broke and the fish was only about 10lbs.
