I will say that this product does exactly what it is intended to do. It increased the storage space in my gun safe. With that said, these will not work for heavier pistols. Do not even consider buying this if you plan on hanging a loaded M1911 from it. If I had to put a non-scientific weight rating on these, it would be limited to a 30 oz pistol. Overall, I cannot complain considering they were only $2.50 each. Seriously, what do you expect for $2.50? They work as intended and work fine. If you have a pistol with high sights or a thicker barrel, you will have to turn it to the side when sliding it on and ensure there is adequate clearance for the sights before just letting it hang freely. My Browning Buckmark is about the maximum for these, but it is good to know that they do work for .22 cal because a few other reviews claim they will not.Overall, the only real complaint I have is the lack of a maximum weight rating for these in the listing or description. Obviously that would vary with the length of the pistol, but there should be some sort of notice that they are not intended for full sized steel handguns. By full size, I am not talking about the compact polymer pistols that some manufacturers are currently calling full sized. I am speaking of a Beretta 92 and a Colt M1911 sized weapon.

Being able to hang the handguns and use no space with these is wonderful. Bought around a dozen and holds everything great and super easy to install.

These work to hold most guns under a shelf, however a few details should be noted:These are 4 separate pieces, so its note one rack that holds 4 guns, in this xase, it worked out better forme to have them spaced out.some gun safe shelves are narrower than the gap allowed for the hook. When I pulll a gun off the shelf, the hok drops to the floor. Easily solved bybuying snug fitting rubber grommefs from the store for another $10.Snub nosed 38's barely stay on. My SW Airweight is about to slide off. Might consider adding a rubber sleeve in this case...Otherwise, its a great concept.

I read with interest the reviews where it was said these weren't strong enough as the wire bent with the weight of the handgun. So I thought I would give these a try and hope for the best. Well they work beautifully and just as advertised. I have ordered more. I have a glock 21 loaded and several other large pistols hanging on them. Perfect. I would recommend these as I truly had a lot of wasted space just below the shelf. They are a little tight for a 22 would be the only fall back. After using this system now for several months I have found that it works perfectly. As far as the gun hanging a little low in the back, if you stick a big bore pistol such as a 45 on, it tends to lean a little due to the small size of the wire and the big bore. I fixed this by bending the wire for that pistol a little. For the price these can't be beat. Also I am enjoying the increased shelf space in my safe.

If you need to make it all fit this is the way to do it. I have more guns that will fit in my safe at this point. Got these to hold off a Lil longer on buying a second safe. This does the trick!

Great value and heavy duty.

This holds my 9mm fine, but my 6" .357 is too heavy and unfortunately it won't support its weight. Otherwise I am happy, when it comes to modern semi-automatic handguns this should work fine.
