Mothers 01224 CMX Surface Prep, 24 oz.

I use this with a clay bar as a prep for self application (in order words, my amateur application) of Adams Graphene Ceramic and it worked well. This Mothers Surface Prep was used on a vehicle which I typically keep well waxed and always has "speed shine" applied. My process involved spraying on the Mother's Surface Prep, "squeegeeing" it off with a clay bar. Then I misted it again with the Mother's and wiped it clean with a microfiber. It really did a good job of removing all wax, silicone and debris. It provided a clean surface to apply the Graphene Ceramic coating. One bottle was more than adequate to prep my Colorado pickup and I have plenty left over. Mothers is good stuff and although I chose the Adams for my ceramic coat, I'm sure a Mothers product would be similar in shine and ease of application.

If you love your car I would recommend this product. Easy on, easy off with a microfiber cloth.

Good. Much better and easier to use than wax. Puts a protective glassy ceramic (silicon oxide) finished on the car. Makes a clean car's finish look new. I've even used it on my cell phone face and other things I want to shine like my wrist watch. (Silicon oxide is the same product sold as 'liquid glass' for cell phones. This works in the same way. You get a lot more for about the same price as a small swatch of 'liquid glass'.) I prefer another product that has more silicon oxide; NexGen ceramic spray that contains a greater amount of silicon oxide and lasts a little longer, but Mother's is a well known brand and a good product.

I have used Mother's CMX ceramic spray wax for years so was happy to find this surface prep spray. In the past I would have to use a claybar or lately Mother's Speed Clay which is a unit the shape and size of a computer mouse. It would take a lot of work using the speed clay product to remove the old way and pollution. With this chemical combination I can use it to clean the car in much less time and it works great. Once I use this I grab the Mother's CMX spray ceramic way. The car comes out with a smooth surface and it last for one year. Great products that I can recommend whole heartly.

I used this to prep my car for ceramic coating. This was easy to use/apply. It worked as expected. I did use a bit more than I expected, but the price wasn't bad. I would buy this product again.

This is the only brand (by Mothers) I use to apply Ceramic Coatings. Works well and Preping is important to prepare paint prior to the Ceramic Coat also by Mothers. I use the Prep first, then the Ceramic Coat and follow up with Mothers Ceramic Wash to keep it with a nice coat. I applied two coats of ceramic coatings 1 1/2 years ago and the paint still beats up when wet.

Definitely cleans residue after washing.

This is the first time I have used this product (CMX Prep Spray) and I am very pleased with the outcome. It worked better then the 50/50 IPA I started with. Once I applied this product, completing the job was effortless. It sprays on and wipes off with ease. I've used other "prep sprays" in the past but this CMX beat them all. I would buy this prep spray again and would most definitely recommend this product. The price was excellent as well, and Amazon delivery was ahead of schedule.

Works great to remove oils or residue before doing a compound. Also works great to remove polish residue before applying a sealant or wax.

This ceramic spray coating is phenomenal. The ease of use and my gosh the shine is amazing. I am absolutely 100% satisfied.
