Professional and very complete home hair removal kit
This is an excellent kit that includes everything you need to start waxing at home. The wax warmer works wonderfully, and the included wax beads (especially the ones for face and bikini area) are high quality and easy to apply. I love that it includes pre- and post-waxing oils, as they leave the skin very soft. It's an investment that saves a lot of money on salon visits. Highly recommended!

First time I could successfully wax myself
So this is the first time I have tried waxing myself in about 10 years-after the last microwave wax I tried didn't worked well and I ended up getting a nasty burn. But, before that I'd try a new type of wax every few years (NADs, Honey waxing, Microwave wax) and it would work poorly. So, for the last few years I get waxed at a salon and don't do it myself. But even with salons reopening with COVID, I didn't feel that it was safe to spend an extended period time so close to someone who has to spend her time close to a lot of people's faces in order to make a living-so I decided to try waxing myself again. After reading reviews online, I tried Kaluawax. Even after a few years of waxing I am a hairy girl (part Sicilian) and this worked. I liked that if you are new to waxing you can go over an area again (which I needed) and tutorials on the other famous blue wax brands webpage helped (apparently, like all other mammals, our hair grows in mostly a similar pattern and when you know that it's easier to tell which direction yours is growing and where to vary it for wax placement). It also took more time and more wax than expected (but this is due to my lack of skill). If you are new, buy extra wax (more than you think you will need)-you will need it! The pink works well everywhere. I loved the blue not just for bikini, but for knees and lower legs. I thought the face wax was only good for peach fuzz (I might try it next time on the back of my thigh). It is the only wax I did not finish as I do not think it's designed for most of the hair I wanted to remove. It did not remove my coarse facial hairs but the blue and pink wax both did. To do both full legs, half arms and bikini I went through the blue and pink in the sample, a second full bag of pink wax, a half of a full bag of the blue wax, a 4.2 ounce of another brand wax, and almost the entire 28.22 ounce bag of another brand wax. I am sure the amount is not entirely due to my level of hairiness and more because I'm still learning how to do it (otherwise I think if a salon had to use as much wax on me as I had to use they would lose money on me, lol). This wax is flexible and has an easy learning curve. And, unlike the other brand (where the learning curve was steeper), this worked pretty well before I watched the videos to improve the spreading technique ( when I was technically applying it incorrectly). Easy to remove parts that stick (due to user error of spreading too thin) with the post-wax which is mostly oil. I also used olive oil and just slathered and rubbed my legs (like they do at the salon) until all the wax pieces were gone. I wish the post-wax had more antiseptic ingredients for the bikini area to prevent folliculitis-due to this I probably will not repurchase the post -wax. The pre-wax was good, I used it let it dry and added baby powder before waxing. This is also the LEAST painful wax I've ever used (or had used on me-even though my regular waxer has great technique). Due to my lack of technique, funnily enough, the most sensitive areas were different than when professionally done. To Clean the machine, I Just slathered the whole thing in canola oil and rubbed it around to clean the wax strands that got stuck to it and it worked. The packaging is adorable and made me smile (even the refills come in a cute bag with cheeky sayings). I love the spreaders with the cute print and hibiscus; I wish they sold them separately. I also wish they sold an extra large spreader (I ended up also using tongue depressors).

A review from a male perspective
I'm a guy and I think is important to give my perspective too, since body hair may differ... So I am an amateur cyclist and remove body hair because it helps the healing process to don't have them, but I do remove body hair longer before cycling, because I think is more hygienic, but honestly I started because I had a girlfriend that hated body hair and took me to remove on my very first time. Anyway, given the background lets do the review, this unit is a really great deal for the price, it even comes with a few bags of beads for body, legs and face. But I have to make an observation here, those bags are meant for woman, if you are a guy, specially one on the bulkier side as me, even tho I'm just 5'9, that's not enough so always consider like double or even triple the amount if you are a guy, which leads me to another point, you will have to plan the removal in sections because you will need to refill and melt more than once and probably 1 bag won't even be enough for working on both legs for example. Because the wax is probably meant for women mostly, for the male with thicker hair, it won't be strong enough so make sure to put a generous layer, also make sure to have the hair long enough so the hair won't break and therefore takes longer to grow, or else you will find yourself reapplying more than once on the same area to remove the hair. Because I do this for a long time I don't have anywhere near as much body hair as I used to and for most parts the amount that comes on the bags is more than enough, but if you are relatively new to it, keep those things in mind. The wax for facial hair is really weak for beard and I would use the normal one for the beard and mustache areas, but it works great for eyebrow, hands and feet areas. Personally I started using IPL for face recently because no matter how many times you wax your face it will always be painful (like the chest that for me is my most painful area). However those are not the reason I'm giving a 4 stars instead 5, the reason i subtract one star is because I wish the silicon cup that goes inside and you use to melt the wax, had longer flaps, waxing is messy unless you are a professional, specially when you are doing by yourself and eventually will need to use your off-hand, which makes it even messier and this is something many may not adddress to, but them you will have some wax dripping or creating lines all around and because the flap is relatively short compared to the width of the device you will end up with some wax falling on the body and they will dry out by the time you finish, so your options are using a heat source like a hair blower to melt and scratch off the wax (and possibly damage the plastic body with heat) or scratch it cold (and also potentially damaging the plastic body with scratches). All in all I'm happy with the product and I save a lot of money doing it at home now.

So this will be a long review but I know that when I chose a product I read all the reviews beforehand so hopefully this helps some people in their decision to buy this product. I have got to say, as a woman who usually sees her esthetician once a month for bikini and every two weeks for underarm I am thoroughly impressed by this product. Due to Covid, with things being shut down a lot where I live, I am not able to see my esthetician as much as I would like, therefore needed to find a convenient alternative. Firstly, I learned the difference between hard and soft wax and hard wax BY FAR is sooo much better for my lady parts. This is my first time using hard wax and my first time doing my bikini area by myself and it went really well. I have used cheap wax with wax strips from the pharmacy and it was messy and painful. Here are the pros: 1) literally one of the prettiest packages I have every opened from Amazon. Everything was packaged nicely (you get 4 packages of wax beads, the wax warmer, 2 oils, one for before waxing and one for after, both were amazing as far as keeping my skin super soft, and some sticks to lay the wax out with) 2) It was virtually painless (as a side note I did have help from my husband - who has never waxed me before- for my underarms and areas I couldn't reach for my bikini.) Once he read the instructions and a few trials as far as his pulling technique I literally did not feel it at all 3) There is practically no clean up. The wax becomes hard and can easily be picked up and thrown in the garbage after use. The silicone in the base not only allows you to keep and reuse any unused wax but it is really easy to clean with soap and water As for the CONS..they are not so much negative aspects of the product more so learning curves about using the product 1) You have to learn to adjust the temperature, so the wax beads heat up fairly easily but as you are waxing you have to adjust the heat as you go..as their is less and less wax it heats up faster therefore you have to lower the temp so as not to burn your skin (they suggest to keep between 130-150, I found 140 to be perfect for me) on the other hand if the wax thickens its because it is not hot enough and will not adhere to the hair properly so you must increase the temp first - should be honey like consistency at all times 2) For me the biggest thing was learning how long to keep the wax on before removing. The wax hardens pretty quickly and for me about 30 seconds was the perfect amount of time to let the wax harden enough to where it pulled out all the hair one time. If I left it a little longer I found it a little harder to remove or it wouldn't get every hair the first time. Best technique for me would be to lay it down and then tap my finger gently on it..if it was still quite wet I would wait a few secs if it was starting to dry and I could feel it being tacky (sticky) that would be perfect time to pull, anything after that the wax hardens completely and for me, would be harder to remove. All in all a very very good product, it has been two days since I used the product my skin is still silky smooth and no new hair growth as of yet. Great affordable alternative to getting waxed by a professional. Recommend 1000%

I absolutely love the warmer itself, but the strong chemical scented wax caused a bad asthma attack. The warmer works well and is way higher quality than I ever thought a wax warmer could be. the silicone bowl is an absolute dream to clean out and it’s so convenient to store the wax as pucks rather than beads. The bowl has a cute pattern that imprints the cooled wax pucks which is super cute, I love it so much. It holds the way at a consistent temperature when the lid is on, when the lid is off the middle can go cold and clump together in the middle when not in use, which isn’t an issue at all to keep the lid on when I’m not actively using it. I did like the extra things that came with, the pre and post sprays I would of never invested in on their own so it was a really nice little beginners bundle. I do have some concerns however, one of them being a major health issue. My first concern is the packaging design. Personally the little “warning” in big letters on the outside of the box saying “smooth skin may cause gawking, instant attraction and caressing.” Giving meaning that you are waxing for the gaze or want of someone else and not for yourself. Both me and my wife feel that’s not an appropriate thing to advertise on hair removal products. Waxing should not be done for anyone else’s preference or pleasure, only for yourself. The other concern is regarding the scent of the wax. I found that the wax was a very harsh chemical scent that burned the nostrils and after a few hours of exposure during waxing, a bad asthma attack / lung inflammation. I have never actually had a full attack like this in my life, only some minor breathing difficulties on occasion. Never any pain. I am on multiple medications, inhalers and medicinal herbs to combat the constant sharp pain and moderate breathing difficulties. Nothing in my environment has changed nor have I been exposed to or have symptoms or any kind of virus or infection. After ruling out all other options, the wax is the only thing it could be. I was pleased with how effective this wax is, it got most of not all of the hair, was like on the pain scale compared to other waxes, cleaned off of skin and surfaces so easy I was flabbergasted, I was left with no redness or irritation and minimal tenderness for less than 24 hours (and I have extremely sensitive skin! Usually it would take a week for my skin to recover from waxing) but the scent is so so strong and harmful. I really feel like all wax should be gentle, not just the formula for the face. (No issues at all with the face wax!) I saw myself buying a lot of this wax in the near future for many years to come until it caused me so much pain. If the company made their scents less harsh and more gentle and natural I could see myself giving them another try, because I really do like how well this wax works on hair and skin. I give the warmer itself 5 stars, I’m so impressed with it! The wax on the other hand I rate very poorly.
