User friendly!
This was required reading for a course that I took. Theology has a way of being stuffy and dry, however, I was pleasantly surprised the author easily conveyed principles and ideas while still remaining a person you could chat with comfortably. I absorbed the ideas and did not fall asleep once. Thats not bad for a textbook type book. I believe that many great theologian types really need to comedown out of the cobwebs like this author has accomplished. Thank you!It makes my job easier to bring teachings to my congregation...in plain english.

A much easier read.
I find this to be theology for the layman, as advertised. This is a good read for every layman or laywoman who wants a clear explanation of Christian theology without the $5.00 words.
