Fabulous product
Purchased our home in the country in 2015, which is on a well. Growing up in a home with well water I was used to some hardness, but this water was horrible. Came out of the faucet cloudy, smelled like rotten eggs and tasted terrible. Red stains on everything and dishes and laundry looked terrible. Most articles I read said a water softener would not remove iron, and that the smell was because of the hot water tank. Finally I gave up and took a chance on this unit. It arrived in two pakages, the tank filled with resin is heavy. UPS slid it off the truck and left it sitting in the drive, I rolled it in with my dolly. Really installation took no time. I took the piece off of the valve to Lowes and got fittings to adapt from their 1 1/4 to 3/4, 4 shark bite fittings and some pex tubing. Cut the water line into the house, connect it to the input on the softener, connect the output back to the line, not really rocket science. Followed the instructions for programing it and went to bed. We noticed major improvement the very next day. Water from the faucet is crystal clear with no smell. We actually drink it now without having to filter it. Dishes come out of the dishwasher sparkling clean and laundry looks 100% better. We cleaned the sinks and showers, and had to use pumice stones to get all the rust stains out of the toilets. Three weeks now and not a single red stain. We bought a 68000 grain unit, which is overkill for a family of 2, but we wanted the capacity to remove iron. We have it set to regenerate once a week as they reccommend for well water with iron. If we regenerated off of water usage it would only do it about once a month. I would tell anyone looking for a water softener to buy this one. My wife said it’s the best gift I ever gave her, which left me wondering is it that good or have I just been giving crummy gifts?

Abundant Flow was extremely great to deal with
Abundant Flow was extremely great to deal with. I had a problem with one of the components and was dreading calling them. I prepared a speech to deal with whoever I spoke to on the phone because I was not going to take any of their guff. I barely spoke to their representative and they were over accommodating. I think the part was delivered before I hung up the telephone. No charge, no argument, no fuss, no jumping through hoops. I never got to use my speech on them. (I did change some of the words around and used the speech on my kids. Couldn't let it go to waste)The actual unit is a quality water softener. Installation was a breeze and the unit works like a charm. I replaced an autotrol and couldn't be happier. I've had the water tested twice since installed (not long, a few months) and so far it has performed as advertised which is all I ever ask no more and no less. Does a better job with iron removal than my previous unit but I may not have had the proper resins for that. I don't know but this works.

Great filter, but look out for the Plumbing
We just had our house and well constructed this year in Florida and moved into it in February. Iron Oxide became a serious problem. I had installed a smaller blue filter system seen in photos before moving in, but it overwhelmed it within 2 months. Our whites out of washing the machine was turning brown, a glass of water from other sinks was brown & smelled and shower floor after about 10 uses turned brown. Our first problem was sand. You can see the small sand filter which is a centrifuge design bought on Amazon and once a month we drain it. Works great as it was clogging up washing machine screen on the new Samsung washing machine and shutting it off. That was my reason to choose one filter that concentrated on Iron Oxide problem. Since the water lines, water heater and water pump holding tank had been in use for 7 month it took about 30 days to clear completely up. Iron Oxide has a metallic rust smell when taking a shower or drinking the water and stains badly as seen on the PUMP Tank & sand filter which was clear when first installed. Lowes has a chemical cleaner made just for iron Oxide that works very well on shower floor or toilet or side of house after a yard sprinkler wash.Hardest part was fitting pipe sizes which should be included with the filter & I had to purchase flexible lines separately. Took 3 trips to the Hardware to get everything compatible. Water pipes in PVC and flex lines are 3/4 and I think this was 1 inch with the connection at 1 inch and had to use a double threaded male to connect both.Water is now clean and it automatically back flushes. Was easy to program and very happy with the results after 10 weeks. If you have Iron Oxide problems or sand I recommend the filter system. Just be ready to make a couple of trips to your hardware store and take the filter parts with you to match up your connections.

Works great immediately after first regeneration cycle
This product came in with the resin already loaded so the tank was very heavy so I used a dolly to move it around safely. The instructions were good but a little lacking still. I am a mechanical contractor and still had to figure a few things out that were not covered in the instructions. The controller instructions are pretty good at walking you thru how to set it up but even that had a few things that were a little guess work. Once it was on and had water flowing I initiated a full regen cycle and tested the water as soon as it was done with a hardness test strip (bought cheap on amazon) and there was not ANY hardness to the water. We love this thing and only we wish we would have bought it sooner. I would certainly recommend this product but have someone help you move the tank into place and then make sure you know plumping or someone who does. Also, all the pieces that come with it have a place to go on the unit even if the instructions dont clearly spell it out.
