Romantic Impressions, Bk 3: 8 Solos in Romantic Style for Intermediate to Late Intermediate Pianists

I've had this book for 3 weeks now and LOVE IT ! It is easy to keep open. The music is most beautiful to play and is relaxing. I'm going to buy my piano teacher of 50 years ago the same book as I know she too will enjoy it. Once you get the tunes in your head, the music continues on even after having played it. I highly recommend it. It is for intermediate pianists. I have small hands yet is comfortable to play the notes.

Ms. Mier is a outstanding composer who understands the various levels of performance and meet those with creative, interesting and beautifully melodies mostly in three part form. Thus the student is not overwhelmed when they see three pages of a composition but can quickly recognize the phrases and section that have similarity. The Sketches and Impressions are loved by my students.

I enjoy being able to just sit down at the piano and "sight read" music that doesn't require any real practice time. The ease of playing also allows me to put my own spin on what I am playing and make it my own.

Beautiful music that is well placed ‘under the hand’. Martha Meir always brings soul satisfying music that is fun and interesting. This music is great for recitals and for personal joy.

Alfred makes good selections for their music.

This book contains beautiful musical vignettes that any adult learner of piano will enjoy. Surely younger students too will appreciate the delicate melodies it contains. Highly recommended!

Martha Mier is a wonderful composer. I love all of her compositions. Is she still around and does she have another level of romantic impressions?

Good collection

I love all her books as a later returner I struggled to discover my level the melodies here are beautifully arranged fun to play and I really feel delighted to sound like a pianist playing even the simplest of tunes.

Simple but effective and musical. Enjoyable to play. Recommend it to early intermediates without too much practice if at all.

Enjoyed playing

Martha Mier is an excellent composer, the music is delightful to play, as an adult who has limited piano tuition I find her pieces enjoyable to explore and practice.

I had purchased the books to this series to learn on the piano so I wanted to hear what they should sound like.I must say, personally, I thought the recorded version was too fast, and likely accurate, but music is flexible to preference.Also, I would like to have seen them perhaps played a second time around for each song, just so each listing isn`t just over a minute long.But other than the very short song lengths and the tempo, they are beautiful songs and are very nice to listen to in the afternoon while relaxing with a cup of tea. They are also an excellent roadmap for anyone who purchases the collection for sheet music.
