When I received my hazelnut butter the lid opened very easily and there was no foil seal, as opposed to normal other nut butters. Is this normal?

I put mine in the fridge after opening. But I think it should be fine to keep in the cupboard. I just think it might stay fresher if I store it in the fridge.
