Good game played on my PS 4 now on my PS 5 good game

This game was roundly slated by critics back in 2018 since it was a poorly implemented co-op multiplayer-only game. It has since been retrofitted with a comprehensive campaign storyline, introducing the usual factions, etc etc., and, like many others, after having seen the enjoyable TV series, I thought I'd give it a go.However, the game seems to be massively unbalanced in terms of levelling up and at times turns virtually unplayable.Theory has it that as a result of the old multiplayer gameplay mechanics, NPC enemies in a region will generally be automatically levelled up to match the strongest online player in an area. There are several very highly ranked online players, I saw several over level 1000 (why ? have they nothing better to do ? ). Which means that as a level 40-something player trying to grind through the campaign, I am constantly facing massively overpowered level-1000 npc enemies, and this seems to get worse as you progress.Ammo is a serious issue too - the game doesn't award enough, either from downed enemies or from looting the environment. It can typically take 20-30 rounds to kill even a standard ghoul footsoldier, and many more for a strong enemy, and yet looting the corpse only awards about 5 rounds. I managed to unleash an entire magazine of laser gatling gun ammo (seriously expensive ammo) at point-blank range at a supermutant without hardly denting him, and yet of course he killed me from full health with one strike of his hammer.Dying means nothing in the game, you simply respawn and all you lose is the junk you were carrying, so you can defeat strong enemies eventually by chipping away at their healthbar as you keep dying over and over, but where's the fun in that. And of course all the time, you're burning through more and more ammo.I just spent several hours grinding through a vault on a main quest like this. I'd used all my main ammo and was scraping around in my storage for those whacky weapons for which I had only a handful of rounds for. I got to the very end of the level to find... it was bugged. 'Insert the serum in the thingummy'. Wouldn't let me. Yes I was in the right place, and it's a known bug. Unable to complete a main quest. I restarted the game and console and tried twice more - of course everything in the vault had respawned so I was sprinting through to the last bit, but same bug each time. Huge waste of time and ammo. What was about to become technically impossible due to no ammo left, quickly became literally impossible.Oh, and don't think that it's cheap enough that you might as well give it a go - the game won't even load properly without a Playstation Plus subscription, £6.99 a month. They don't mention that in the product description. Don't forget to cancel your subscription after you've rage-quit ;)

This game got a lot of bad reputation when released but it's quite fun to play now. But heah fallout 4 was a better game.

I did not buy this on release following the huge amount of hate it gathered, but after it's had a number of big updates and it was under £10, I thought it was time to finally buy it.Huge map, tons of missions, factions to join, legendary items to grind, collectibles to collect. To me this is a great fallout experience and isn't the same game that it was at release.I have not stopped playing it and the community is fantastic, a lot of people happy to help and give advise. If you have played fallout 4 it plays exactly the same but without a voice for the main character (Which is far better to me)

Not too sure why this game has been hit so hard by the critics. It is different to previous games but you soon get used to it. I quite like the online side of things, wouldn’t say it’s ruined the game at all. Although there are other players around you can easily choose to not engage and I’ve been playing for a few months now and only come across a couple of people.

What a stupid requirement.Talk about narrowing down who gets to enjoy this Fallout franchise.Buy the game, but cant play it unless you have internet connection.

If I'd known this was a online only game I wouldn't have bought it....

Looks brand new but doesn't work on either of my ps4s. Says the disc is unrecognizable.
