Fantastic microphone for live and studio work
The Neumann KMS 105 MT is an absolute beast of a microphone. The sound is ridiculously clear and makes vocals sound so natural and rich. The super-cardioid pattern is legit; it picks up your voice perfectly while cutting out all the background noise, which is a lifesaver for live gigs or recording in less than ideal spaces. The build is rock solid, and the matte black finish? Super sleek and classy. Plus, it’s lightweight enough that you don’t feel like you’re lugging around a brick during long sessions. If you’re serious about your sound, this mic is 100% worth it. I used it at a gig this passed weekend and it was fantastic!

Compared with 6 other mics
I ended up buying KMS 105 after testing it and comparing with 6 other mics. My friend and I recorded my voice on 7 tracks over the same background track for real A/B test. No EQ, only some gain adjustments to make fair comparison. We both liked KMS 105 for its clarity. No artificial boost in mid-high end.Very good energy and clarity at the low end, the best in this price range. Without EQ it sounded "exactly" like my voice (I am a baritone with big dynamic range and reasonable vocal range D2 - G4).If you want to save some money, the next choice (big surprise for us) was Telefunken M81, despite being a dynamic mic. The next after that was Senh e 965.It is not a forgiving mic, might not be for everybody. It does not emphasize the mid-high range, which is "trendy" these days, and most mics tend to do that. It is very sensitive, all your mistakes will not be masked. Also it will not allow you to sing very close to it, 6" might be the best.To summarize, It is a great neutral and clear mic, seems to be the best in its price range for my voice.

Clarity , Smoothe and will make you sing better
The mic is great for make vocals and females with deeper tones to explore. Hands down best live vocal mic I have ever used.Compared to the e945 it’s more open , clear and airy . Cool tree s to shure beta 87a , it’s just clearer and wider.Bought a second one 1 week later.

Excellent mike !
Excellent mike! I use it for rap vocals which I record at home . I use this in conjunction with a dbx 286s mike preamp and a mackie profx 10 mixing board . So far I get production quality vocals can’t go wrong with this mike . I use it in my home setup and with a friends home setup everyone asks me where and how did I record my vocals they are so clear. This mike when used with the proper software or proper hardware sounds awesome !! Not cheap but you get what you pay for . This is one of their lower end mikes by the way . My partner uses this mike in his home setup so when I heard it and how it performed I brought one and was worth every penny !!

Love the warmth of this mic
Truly happy with this mic. I bought it 2-3 months ago and I love how well it catches the warmth of the voice. It took me a bit to get used to it because it can be very loud at times, volume adjustment will probably be needed but a good singer could figure out the best way to use this mic. I truly recommend it. The best of them all!

my amateur opinion
Background as a singer: Sang since I was 10 starting from grade school plays. Sang karaoke for fun most of my adult life. Been in 3 bands and now in a fourth. Not trained in singing. I learned piano and guitar. I don't have perfect pitch or golden ears.Review:Hands down my favorite mic out of all my current mics. A steep jump in price from the Beta58A. Bought it after reading reviews and I cannot be happier. Singing is more effortless and natural for me now. Gain before feedback seems a lot higher. First day of rehearsal got a lot of compliments without mentioning a change in mics. Honestly makes me want to sing more. With other mics, I was never satisfied with tone and always blamed my technique along with room resonant frequencies. This has honestly worked in the 5+ venues with tried it at. Effortless is all I can say.Current setup:1 QSC 15" Powered speaker1 10" JBL powered floor monitordbx driveRack PA (for compression, limiter and feedback control)TC-Helicon VoicelivePlay GTXMics used with this setup before Neuman KSM105:Shure SM58Shure Beta SM58AMarshall MXL V67gMusic Genre: 4 piece acoustic pop.
