Superman vs. Brainiac (Action Comics (1938-2011))

Many of the stories were enjoyable. In fact, I have been looking for the single issues of many for some time and decided this was the best way to have the story. I enjoyed more than the "vs. Luthor" or "vs. Zod" collections.

This collection of stories of Superman vs Brainiac, has well written stories and lots of action. It gives the best samples from the earliest days to the nineties.

This is a fine collection that surely will be appreciated by Superman and/or Brainiac fans. It displays fairly well the evolution of the Brainiac character, who has been through nearly as many retcons as Superman. Most of the old stories are very difficult to find, and are likely expensive. For those not able or willing to pay big money for old comics, this compilation lets you read a few good Brainiac stories without having to search for or pay big money for those old issues.A great read, but designed mostly for die hards and fans interested in the comic book of eras past.

Ok i love brainiac, hes really the best villian superman has, and this collection is really nice but has one glaring problem, the story collected in the middle from about 1985 is great with story by marv wolfman and art by gil kane, only problem is it ends on a cliffhanger, i mean i know they used the story because it's showing brainiac changing over the years but if you are going to put the story in there you cant leave it on a cliffhanger with supermans foe standing over him saying he will kill him, it mad me sooooo mad.aside from that we see brainiacs from apperance and then a few early stories, followed by an early 80s multi parter with gueststars like hawkman thats really fun, followed by the cliffhanger story (grrr), then the first post crisis brainiac story multi parter and ending with a solo story from the late 90's with the brainiac 13 version.now i could have thought a few more stories to add, but overall it's really great and fun for any superman fan!
