L.A. Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick, Carried Away GLC802

KEY NOTE: I don't tend to swipe this lipstick on, as if I do-- yes, it's very light for a shade. I rather dab it on or use my finger to spread it on my lips, this gives a more natural feel to the color I want!This lipstick isn't really for those with a deep/intense contrasting (to the shade) skin tone. Finally, FINALLY found a lipstick that's not only matte, but lightens my lips without turning orange (cool undertone!)For those reviewing saying it's "too light" and "not matte/longwear", you have to let it set!!! Really! And if that's not enough, use some LIGHT setting powder, don't want to dry out your lips. Stuff that's longwear needs time to set so the formula can do just that.I love this lipstick. I got 3 more because I'm terrified I won't find anything else if it's discontinued LOL. Please never stop making this I beg you, sincerely a pale girl who does makeup all the time <3(Yes I'm awake I don't look very pale but trust me, irl I am intensely so.)-Smell wise, it's fine, has a bit of a chalky smell but I don't care cuz.. holy grail, also I don't mind a bit of fragrance or clean smelling products-It goes on creamy but dries matte. Again, let set!-I don't swipe on this lipstick as even on me, it'll be too light! I dab it on, use a lip brush, or my fingers to build color. Lasts like crazy too.Just get it. It's really not bad. :) remember, oil/oily foods will also make any makeup, waterproof or not, disintegrate. That doesn't mean makeup sucks!Oh also, to wrap up the yapfest, it's cheap and that's MAD GOOD. Thanks 🙏

It's amazing. Yes, unless you're using it as a base for another color lipstick that won't show without something like this behind it, you'll need to sheer it out & apply with fingers or a brush likeothers mention. But it does exactly what I was looking for & this was hard to find so thank you

THe color is NOTHING like what is on the packaging. I got the light pink and the color in the tube is literally WHITE, and looks horrible on. Bad consistency, too. Will NEVER buy from the again. At least I didn't lose much$, you get what you pay for

It's a win for the pale girlies! No seriously, if you're super pale and have a cool undertone, you know how hard it is to find a nude pink that looks good and isn't too peachy/orange. Now, you DON'T wanna go applying this like a typical lipstick, or else it just looks like you smeared pink cake frosting all over your mouth -- not cute! Instead, very lightly dab it on and tap it out with your finger to blend it. It looks good that way on it's own, but it will probably be drying, so you can also put a gloss on top like I did in the last picture -- I used Revlon Super Lustrous gloss in shade "Sky Pink" (which is ALSO a massive win for the pale girlies on it's own) and it matches perfectly!As far as the formula, it's very creamy and definitely streaky if you put too much on. Haven't done a wear test yet to see how long it lasts/through food and stuff. It does have a bit of a sunscreen-y smell to it, but not very strong.Overall, if you're looking for something to slap on like a standard lipstick, this is not it -- it takes a little time to make it work. However, it's exactly what I was looking for, so it gets my stamp of approval!

Love this color! It is such a pretty, bubble gum pink and glides on nicely and stays on. Especially great for summer!

The color is pretty and for the money it’s great. It goes on smooth and even not clumpy or sticky. Last as long as any lipstick on the lips. The problem is that the product it’s self doesn’t last long. It oxidizes from a pretty pink to a yellowing peach (in the tube). Once the tube oxidizes the color changes and the product consistency changes-it gets dryer. The resulting color on your lips is flat and not very pretty. So if your looking for a disposable. limited use, inexpensive lip color this is great. Otherwise, spend a little more and get something better like elf or wet and wild.

The color doesn't match the packaging nor does it match the photos as depicted for the product. It has way too much yellow/orange in it an probably could be used as a concealer because this is not even close to being a bubblegum pink. My photo here is the top of it's tube tube next to itself. It got here 30 minutes ago and I immediately opened it and tried it so this is it fresh from the package. I also tried to give different lighting and background to give you a better idea. Conclusion: don't get this if you want pink, and if you want this pale skin color look then just use foundation or concealer as your lip color because it will look the same and last longer.
