Nearly perfect tinted sunscreen
This is a great product for people with light warm skin tone. I don’t think it would work for fair skin, as it borders on being a touch too dark for me, but it’s fine with a very light powder over the top to lighten it up a touch (see attached pics). I have incredibly oily skin and I found this to be neither dewy nor drying. It was a nice in between with a more natural satin finish. (and it is the perfect texture once I add a touch of setting powder). Although it is matte, it isn’t drying at all. If you have dry skin, I would definitely add a moisturizer underneath. It did take a few minutes to fully dry down. I’ve not tried this under liquid foundation, so I’m not sure how it would do underneath. I do wear a translucent setting powder over it, which sets it perfectly. It provides just a touch of coverage - a “your skin but better” look and It stays put even after mild sweating. I have tried numerous (at least 20) other tinted sunscreens and BB creams w/ spf over the past few years (including several viral ones) but this has been my fave. I also have moderate acne. I’ve only been using this about a week, but so far it hasn’t triggered any breakouts I’ll update this review if it does. I have attached a few pictures wearing the Austrian Gold Matte in the light shade. . I think it is obvious in the pics that my face is a touch darker than my neck, but it’s always like that unless I use a shade that is really too pale for me.

Amazing Sunscreen!!
Just spent a week at the beach and was in the sun everyday, this stuff worked amazingly well. It says 80 minutes but it really lasts for days. I was in the ocean almost everyday and put this stuff on my legs and didn't wash my legs with soap the first few days and it still provided protection. I usually get burned within an hour being in the sun, being that I have really light skin. I was surprised how long I could last on the beach and how many days it stayed on my legs with 1 very thin application and it still protected my skin from burning on day 3. The only place I was burned was at the top of my feet where I had sand stuck to my feet when I put on the sunscreen for the 1st time. In addition, this tint is awesome for people that glow when they go outside. It adds just a little tiny bit of tint to even out your skin and not look so ghostly white on the beach. I went in the ocean several times and this doesn't wash off unless you scrub it off with a lot of soap. I purchased the medium tinted sunscreen even though my skin tone is nowhere near the color of tint medium is. When you rub it in evenly, it blends into the skin and doesn't look odd, not your color or too tan. That is if you use just enough to spread it everywhere evenly and rub it in really well. If you use more and don't rub it in very well, you could probably get a tan base if that is what you are looking for. Let it dry before putting anything on, its like makeup and gets on your clothes if it not dry. For the people that want a subtle tint where your legs haven't seen the light of day in a long while, I recommend this color. This is perfect for going out to the beach or lake, it stays on very well and for a very long period of time and is a natural mineral sunscreen which is amazing. This company did a great job on this product. I used this on my body, not my face as my makeup already has a 50spf in it. I can't tell you how it looks on the face. I am usually allergic to mineral makeup and I get hives. I tested this on my legs first and no reactions from the minerals like the mineral makeup I have used in the past. I then put it on the rest of my body and had no reactions, rash or hives. It did its job way better than expected. Would definitely purchase again. I purchased 2 bottles and used maybe a quarter size sunscreen on my entire vacation. A little goes a long way

Great combo product, loving the coverage and feel!
I am absolutely loving this sunscreen! It goes on really smooth, and offers really nice, even coverage. Did not experience any irritation, which for my sensitive skin is like striking gold! No eye stinging, and it holds well against sweat/water. It blends and matches with my pale skin tone fairly nicely. Plays well with makeup on top of it (as long as you let it settle on your skin before putting anything else on top). My only wish is that there was a lighter shade. I don’t see an orange hue on my face per se when I put it on, but it definitely makes me look a littler tanner, and I have to make sure I blend it very well and use some on my neck so it doesn’t look unnatural (the only reason it’s 4 stars instead of 5). Due to this, it actually gives my skin a more lively color, which I’m not opposed to at all. Just need to be careful when blending. It’s definitely heavier than the foundations I’ve used in the past, so removing at the end of the day requires a little more effort. But, this isn’t a drawback for me, just something to get used to, and also a testament to its skin coverage! I will definitely continue to use this on days I want to wear makeup as a replacement for my spf and foundation. I am already considering buying another bottle just to stock up!

This is impressive
I have worn probably 50 different foundations since I started wearing makeup in 2013. From mineral powders to Wet N Wild Photofocus to Estee Lauder Double Wear and Juvia's Place, I have tried so many different things, but my combo skin is too powerful for all of them. My T zone oil melts anything on it like it's been hit with acid. Several years ago, I gave up trying to keep my face matte in the right places and just accepted that it wasn't going to happen if even a beloved luxury $50 foundation wouldn't work. I've been wanting to wear sunscreen more consistently, so I was looking into tinted sunscreens. Years ago, I wore BB creams from Maybelline which were good enough for me at the time, but I wasn't interested in going back to that one. I found a review I trusted that highly recommended this, so I decided to try it. A little about me: I am 30, so I have some minor dynamic fine lines, but my skin texture is very smooth because I use tretinoin. I have combo skin - my t zone is so oily I could scrape it off and cook with it some days, while spots like my jawline and undereyes are pretty dry. I prefer a satin finish in my foundations. This was completely unexpected, but this product lasted all day without oil breakthrough for 14 hours. Granted, it is cooling off here, and I was in class all day, but usually my foundations start breaking down in 5 to 6 hours in conditions like this. The oil around my nose is just barely starting to peek through, and the product itself still looks nice, not like a slimy mess. I am shocked and so happy I gave this a try because I've never found anything that performed this well. Double Wear is close, but it also is very thick and can look mask-like. It also seems to be somewhat transfer resistant, which is great. I wore this for the first time to a charity even tonight and wore a white blouse - the neckline came close to where I had makeup placed. My shirt does not have makeup on the edge, so either the makeup stayed put, or I managed to avoid touching my shirt to the makeup. The only con I see right now is the shade range. Luckily, the undertones seem to be pretty neutral, so it won't look absolutely insane on people that lean warm or cool. But the depth and light of the shades leaves much to be desired. A few extra shades, and a very deep shade, would be nice additions. I have a light medium cool olive skintone. I accidentally purchased the medium to tan shade, which still barely works for me since we're coming out of summer. I am sure that by the middle of winter, I will need to repurchase this in the lightest shade. Overall, if you have oily skin and have a skin color that this product covers, give it a go. I am sad that they don't offer this in more shades because I feel like so many women would love this product but can't wear it.

The BEST mineral sunscreen for outdoor activity
Let me start out by saying, I think the way this product is advertised is quite a misnomer. It is described as being a “lightweight BB cream.” To get the SPF 50, it is by no means lightweight. Let’s all be honest here, mineral sunscreens in general are not lightweight if you’re using the amount needed for the SPF. In addition to this, maybe it’s just me, but when I think of a BB cream, I think of a thin, lightweight skin tint that you can barely tell is there, meant to give a “your skin but more even” appearance. Again, that is not this. This is a thick cream that, if you’re using the amount for the displayed SPF, will certainly be apparent and you can feel as a layer on your skin. So then why did I give this 5 stars and have gone through numerous tubes and will continue to purchase this? Because it is the BEST outdoor mineral sunscreen and I will die on this hill. I don’t know what sorcery (chemistry) they did, but this ACTUALLY dries down to a matte powder-like finish, making it very transfer resistant once it dries (takes about 10-20 minutes to fully dry). I do long distance running and this stays on through hot sweaty days, rain storms, and snow storms, so I can confirm it is also highly water resistant. It uses mineral filters and I have never once had any eye irritation (and I have quite sensitive eyes.) I have never had issues with pilling while using it after my other multitude of skin care products and have never had any skin irritation from this. I LOVE that it is fragrance-free. And on top of all of this, it’s affordable, especially for the amount you get. My only complaint is the shade range - I think there are only 3 shades. I will also say it does oxidize so keep that in mind. But I now run around looking slightly orange (not terribly, more noticeable up close) instead of like I just escaped a mausoleum, so I can’t complain too much. TL;DR - this is a great outdoor mineral SPF. It’s transfer resistant and water resistant, dries down to a powder-like finish, and holds up well in extreme weather. It’s fragrance-free, doesn’t pill, and is affordable. If you have sensitive eyes and are looking for a good outdoor mineral sunscreen, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Okay, but not my favorite
I keep searching for a tinted facial mineral sunscreen that I like. The tint is okay and is effective, and I don't always have to apply makeup on top. It's thick, but it spreads easily. What I don't like is the funky smell, the tint comes off on clothes, and it's hard to wash off my face (I guess that's the water-resistent part that I didn't realize when I purchased it). It even feels greasy on my hands after I've washed them. I'll keep searching.

New Favorite SPF
Love this stuff!! Im pregnant so was looking for a new spf that is mineral and this is the one!! It’s not overly matte but definitely not glowy like a lot of spfs which is great for my oily acne-prone skin. It has enough tint where it acts as my foundation since I don’t like a lot of coverage. You get a TON of product too compared to a lot of brands and at a super affordable price. Highly recommend!

Excellent matte tinted SPF that covers hyperpigmentation!
Okay I am obsessed!!! This product was recommended in a skincare group I follow on Facebook. I have been on the hunt for the perfect tinted SPF that provides “makeup-like” coverage for my PIH/hyperpigmentation and isn’t shiny!! My skin is oily and I don’t want to appear shiny at all… And I must say - this product might take the cake. I have tried SuperGoop (which i absolutely love, but still a bit glowy and is expensive) and DRMTLGY (which is okay but still too shiny and coverage is light) and EltaMD UV Clear tinted (love it but also too shiny) but this one from Australian Gold checks off pretty much all the boxes. I will say - the color tones do run warm for the medium/tan and I lament the lack of tones “between” fair/light and medium/tan, and options for neutral and cool undertones. However I have found a layered blend of the two works well for me. I am a neutral light/medium. I first purchased the medium/tan one simply because it appeared that most people who purchased this product tended to buy that one, and from the posted photos women in lighter skin tones than me were buying that one. It felt like a safe color for me since I don’t like looking pale and I’m currently pretty tan towards the end of this summer. When I bought it and tried it out, it was pretty dang close to my skin tone but just a tinge too warm/orange for my skin tone. I held onto it but figured I should try the fair/light one as well. I received it today and that one has pink (cool) undertones and is too light for my skin. But when I blend both of these together and rub it into my skin it is a perfect match for me. The cool tones from the fair/light and the warm tones from the medium/tan appeared to have neutralized into a neutral undertone and gave me the exact color I was looking for! Regarding the coverage, I am beyond happy with it. This is also a BB cream so its consistency is thicker than a typical face SPF and it covered most of the red spots on my face from aged acne scars. Is it AS MUCH coverage as makeup? No not complete coverage but covered it enough for me to be satisfied with its outcome. I find if i want more coverage I can apply a green-tint CC cream on first and it helps neutralize the redness. I am THRILLED with this because as I age I want less and less of a makeup routine and have been really focused on skincare/sun protection and this product can completely replace makeup for me now :) the finish is MATTE and not shiny in the least! It wears well for hours which is awesome, although the typical recommendation is to reapply SPF every two hours. Idk how it would look to continue layering on an SPF as thick as this one and I have not tried it yet so I can’t speak on that… It’s also a mineral SPF (50) which I love - the chemical ones tend to make my eyes sting. I have no problem with this one whatsoever. I do recommend applying serums like Hyaluronic acid and a great AM moisturizer prior to wearing this on your face for a smoother application and to keep your skin hydrated. Since this one is matte, you’re not going to get many “nourishing” ingredients from this otherwise. All in all this is a 5/5 for me and I am very happy with my purchase. So much more affordable than the others I’ve been using too! I hope this helps :)
