My mom loves this movie!
I bought this for my mom. She likes watching movies on her DVD player. She really loved this. She said it had a wonderful story. In fact, she liked it so much, she watched it again the next day.

Mixed Feelings
I loved this movie right up until they got to a bizarre add in where the male lead is charged with murder. What the actual heck? If you slice that odd and ill-fitting chunk out of it, this is a heartwarming and well-acted story. I loved the decor.

A beautiful love story
I loved this movie. Well done Hallmark, well done. This story is a great one for family. Older ones for sure. It is the story of Michael, a loving son who after taking off time from College cares for his ailing mom. After her passing he takes a job at a Senior care facility. While there he meets an older lady played by Vanessa Redgrave. They become friends and this is their story. There is also a love story with Michael and a lovely medical student. Circumstances divide them but love brings them back to each other. Then there is also a mystery. Some parts of this story are sad but people need to be aware of some of the issues the elderly face. Then there is the relationship between Michael and his Dad. The story flows well. The music is nice, not overwhelming. The sets are good. The actors all did a great job of bringing this lovely story to life. Enjoy!! This one I highly recommend. :)

Wonderful movie, good acting
This is a really good Hallmark movie if a little sappy at times. I think Vanessa Redgrave- who is always phenomenal- as Esther Huish was a good casting choice. The best parts in the movie are scenes with her and Chad Willet and how she teaches him about love, forgiveness, and never giving up hope. Some of the scenes are a little corny but the movie really speaks volumes about life's important things. It is interesting to see how Chad Willet's character Michael evolves through the movie into someone who can love and be loved and isn't burdened by resentment. Also, I really liked how Ester and Michael's friendship evolves- it doesn't happen all at once which I think is realistic. So overall, a really great feel good movie.

Heartwarming movie
This movie is another favorite and although I have seen it many times on Hallmark channel, I purchased it for my Aunt's Birthday and she was so tickled that she finally got to see what I had been talking about. It's a movie that warms the heart and it a great family movie. The Locket, The Christmas Box and Timepiece are all wonderful movies by the same Richard Paul Evans and they are a must for all my loved ones. Great pricing on this one as I had been wanting one for me and one for her so couldnt' be happier with this purchase. Great shipping time and the movie plays great. Looking forward to more of these kinds of movies that the whole family can watch together.

another good Hallmark movie
Michael has lost his mother to cancer, after caring for her with love and kindness. His alcoholic father abandoned the two of them a few years before. Michael's dream is to finish university, but in the meantime, he needs to work. A position opens up for him in a care home, where he patiently showers his kindness on the elderly, infirm residents. The story is about relationships, love, forgiveness, vindication and second chances. Sensitivity to issues that many of us deal with undergirds this movie, as does the outstanding performance by Vanessa Redgrave. By daring to confront emotional pain, this movie leads us to an uplifting, hopeful ending. No violence. No profanity. No sex. A wonderful, encouraging story. I recommend it to families with teens.

No warm fuzzys here
With Vanessa Redgrave featured in this film, I thought for sure it would be a winner. The story was complete, but nothing of the calibre that Vanessa usually puts out like in a recent film, Letters to Juliette. The story was a bit depressing all the way through. I waited for a heart-warming touch to come but it didn't for me. The topic of Alzheimers is challenging at best for anyone to write about. This time it didn't come through with a warm-fuzzy ending.

Sehr durchschnittlich
