The old school printed sheets just don't last. Usually, if you're looking at hail, you're looking at more than one vehicle over the course of a couple of weeks, so the paper just ends up wrinkled and dirty. I had a clipboard with stripes on the back but it broke. This is great because it folds up in my little car but it opens up to big enough to catch hail dents on all but the largest panels and it's not so much of a fight to hold it at an angle and take a picture to show hail dents. It also works as a sun shade in a pinch.

The wire band holding the material is extremely stiff. Be very careful when opening the pouch as the reflector will snap open forcefully - hard enough to take off your glasses or even injure. Also, you will probably not be able to get the reflector folded back into the pouch. The reflector is too stiff. Having said that, the wire band does hold the reflecting cloth wrinkle free so the reflector can do its job. The line reflector was worth the money.

Works alright but not worth the price, spend a little more to get one with a magnet.

This works just fine for checking the progress of your dent repair. It folds up nicely, is easily portable, and works well for identifying blemishes, but isn't an all in one solution. The problem is that it has no good way to secure it in place. If you have something like a magnet with a clip on it, you should be fine, but if you don't, then get something else, because both your hands are going to be busy most of the time, and while this can identify the problems, it won't stay in place while you work on them without some additional contraptions. It is a great price, and the built quality is just fine. It's essentially a printed fabric frisbee toy. It has not light source, so you are relying on ambient light, or your own back light for it's use.

Horrible product! The stitching came undone the second time it was used and customer service is a joke!

Recommended to buy one from Amazon by a dent repair guy who used a similar disk (photo is of his work on just the roof). This fit the bill and was shipped and arrived timely. Used it to inspect my wife's car. No issues.
