Excellent extra battery
I needed more batteries for my lawn mower and this was a GREAT deal. Now I have enough batteries to do the whole job (6.38 miles back and forth and around and under) in 2.5 hours instead of 4.5 hours including wait time for charging.

Update: doesn’t work. Good Value, Misleading Description
The media could not be loaded. Update. I’ve had this battery for a few months now. It still holds a charge but none of my Ryobi tools will power on with this battery. My official Ryobi batteries work fine. This one no longer works at all. Waste of money.Recently got into the Ryobi 40v power tool ecosystem and wanted a few backup batteries to have just in case. I have the rapid charger and a few quick chargers. The Ryobi brand name batteries start at $190 at Home Depot, so seeing a 6ah battery for around $70 seemed like a great deal. I received the battery, charged it up, everything works as expected. I was a bit skeptical on the price and decided to test this 6ah battery in comparison to a 4ah Ryobi battery. The authentic Ryobi 4ah battery lasted just under 10 minutes running on full power attached to a 730cfm Ryobi blower. The amazon 6ah battery lasted even less than the 4ah battery at around 9 minutes. At less than half the price of a 4ah Ryobi battery, these things get the job done, but they should not advertise that they are 6ah when in reality they are less than or equivalent to 4ah batteries.

Way too short run time.
This battery is advertised as a equal replacement for the original Ryobi battery that came with my lawnmower. Each of the two Ryobi batteries provided reportedly have a 30 minute run time. With just one of these batteries fully charged, I was able to mow my entire front lawn and about 1/3 of the back lawn. With this battery I purchased on Amazon, I couldn’t even finish the front yard!! I carefully checked the start and end times and determined that this battery ran for a measly 18 minutes before requiring another charge. Pathetic. But why even buy a Ryobi battery powered mower at all? After using this awful product for only TWO summers—or a total of about 25-30 lawn mowings—both batteries died and could not be charged. The cost of replacing both batteries was a whopping $438 or the cost of a whole new mower!!!!!!.I don’t think ANY reasonable consumer would expect to have pay the price of a new lawnmower every two years. It’s outrageous, and it’s a scam. DONT BUY RYOBI BATTERY POWERED MOWERS!!

New Replacement Battery is working quite Well.
(3rd UPDATE, 11-19-19) I have recharged this replacement battery for 5 or 6 times now, and it still quits when there are still two lights showing on the fuel cell, and battery will only keep going IF I take it out and put it back in, many, many times. . . and I switch back and forth with this battery and the original Ryobi 4.0ah battery, and that one never does this. . . so I can only conclude that there is something drastically wrong with this particular brand and series of batteries, as that is TWO of them I have had the identical problem with. . . AND I RETURNED the original battery on 11-1-19 back to Amazon and NOW I got a notice from Amazon this morning by email that they have NOT received the original battery from me and have charged my bank account AGAIN for it. . . now this is getting totally ridiculous, TOTALLY! . . . It is frustrating me and infuriating me, very much. . . I personally drove about 10 miles to the UPS pickup site in Waupaca on 11-1-19 to return this battery, and now Amazon is saying it has not received it before their 11-15-19 deadline??? . . . C'mon, since when has UPS become the Pony Express? . . . I also had trouble TRYING to return that battery, so wondering what all is going on here.Whatever happens with this whole situation, I do NOT recommend buying this battery, at least not until they get their act together and find out what is wrong with them. . . This experience is NOT good at all. . . JimBoB.(2nd UPDATE: The replacement is now giving the same stoppage problems after the fuel gauge gets down to two lights, just as the first battery did. . . and I have now recharged it 3 times. . . this is as of the date of 11-9-19). It is very frustrating just trying to cut up some smaller pieces of 2 to 4 inch firewood that I have piled here. . . I just don't know what to do, and I had such great hopes for this setup, since it hurts my bursitis ridden shoulders trying to pull start a gas engine chain saw anymore. Also, Amazon has not notified me that they got the old defective FIRST battery back yet, and it is well over a week ago that I returned it via UPS drop-off.First UPDATE: (I received a replacement from Amazon for the first battery which was not good from the beginning; and the new one has worked very good so far. . . . I would have given four stars, if it weren't for such a bad first battery. . . . IF this current battery keeps working well, I will probably update to 4 stars). But I have only used this one a couple of charges/times; because of my poor health. . . Thanks. This battery works good when fully charged, however once it reaches HALF charge, the tool stops completely. . . I removed the battery from the chainsaw and put it back in and it worked for a few seconds and then stopped again with 2 of the fuel lights on and would not go again. . . .my original Ryobi batteries do not do that, so something is definitely wrong, I can't even get as much run time as the 4.0 original battery gives me and this is a 6.0 ah battery. . . . NOT good at all, I want to return it but for some reason, when I try to do that it locks up and won't let me.

Good spare battery for ryobi lawn mower
Bought this as backup battery to my ryobi oem battery. It’s a bit smaller that the oem battery, same 6.0 ah for less cost of new oem battery. Performance wise it doesn’t hold up as long as the oem one. Cutting the lawn, the oem battery cuts 3/4 of yard before giving out (~40 min). If I run either the new battery first, it lasts 1/2+ the yard (~25min). All runs with the lower speed settings. Anyway, a good spare battery at a good price. You should be mindful of how long your job takes that too batteries will work for you without stopping to recharge everything.

Works just Ryobi original battery at significantly lower cost.
I've mowed 3 times with this battery now and no problems. Charges just like original. Much lighter, but definitely not 6Ah capacity - more like 5Ah. Otherwise, works great in 40V mower applications.
