"Two Birds, One Stone"

I was initially a little confused but what exactly I was ordering here as didn’t understand how 2 albums could fit onto one disc (vinyl, in my case). Then I realized it was two “mini” albums; I used to call those ‘EPs’ but maybe times have changed. Anywell, I’m glad I pulled the trigger and purchased this because oh my word, WHAT a delight! The vinyl is gorgeous. Just gorgeous. Enough reviewers here have covered the music itself (fantastic, and with crossover appeal) so I’m focusing on the quality of the issue itself. You receive a gate-fold album of startling high ilk…this is like the luxuriously thick album covers of my youth vs the flimsy paper stock they use on trendy issues these days. The fun doesn’t stop there as a poster and sticker sheet is lovingly tucked inside. Is your life genuinely complete without an autoharp sticker? I think not. These ‘extras’ in a vinyl release are so rare these days and usually cost an arm and a leg, but this is priced competitively. The inner sleeve is top notch too, actual poster board thickness rather than a copier paper-thin inner sleeve. I justify this use of beefed up paper material because albums are not as disposable as other home goods, they tend to be traded, re-sold, donated, etc., ensuring a long life span. So I’m super happy the Skinny Legend didn’t go skinny here! The pressing itself is 180g clear vinyl; the pale pink “blob” is sublime and the photos used at the center are crisp and sharp. An interview with the artist, printed along the bottom of the outer sleeve, is yet another old school touch. I’d have loved this album for the music alone, totally worth it, but the fact we’re offered all this extra stuff, in such high quality, makes this one of my favorite purchases of the year!

I have a record collection of over 700, and this is easily one of the best made records/sleeves we've ever purchased! The attention to detail is fantastic and the addition of the birds on the inside of the record sleeve is a touch I've never seen before, and I love it! All the extra goodies like the stickers and the poster are just icing on the cute cake!

I'm "straight" and 68!! I say that cuz Trixie/Brian is a drag queen. His music is not "gay"!! It's country/folk for everyone!! He is an extremely talented singer, songwriter, entertainer!! Plays several musical instruments and is a stand up comic!! I've been a fan for years!! OK.. so maybe not everyone would like this but more people than you would think. Give it a listen!! : )

Track one (mamma don't make me put on the dress again) and two (make up my mind) will not download onto my computer which is where I listen to all my music. The album is very good. Brian is a pretty good lyricist. I was Not a Trixie fan when she was on Drag Race but watching her fine tune her craft has been a journey of delight and the music is real, honest, and heart felt. The cover of Video Games (not yet released on an album) is better the original cover. Looking forward to a new album and Grown-up Tour.

I absolutely love this CD! Trixie Mattel/Brian Firkus is immensely talented, she is hilarious, stylish, witty, thoughtful and unlike any other Drag Queen or singer/songwriter/musician! Oh yeah, she now has a line of cosmetics and a feature length documentary, Moving Parts. I can't wait to see what she does next. Genius in a wig and butt pads!

Not sure what Amazon has to do with it but the album advertises that it's supposed to come with a poster and stickers inside and out did not. Not sure how to go about getting those or who to contact about it. The album, however, works as expected and is beautiful.

I NEVER listen to country music, but I will listen to anything Trixie releases because I love her so much. Both of the albums are fantastic, and it sounds great on my record player. I love all the detail that went into this edition; the vinyl itself (clear w/ the pink "blob"), the stickers and poster included, and even the little birds on the inside the sleeve.

As a fan of Trixie I was flabbergasted that I had not bought this sooner. Not a fan of country music but I actually love this and so does my hubby.I am going to see Trixie at my local venue hall in January and cannot wait for it. I just wish Katya was going to be there too as I find them both hilarious but a little naughty (depends on your humour)Have got it in the car and will listen until my hubby demands we switch itHave asked for the third album “Barbara” for Christmas so that’ll be funBrilliant lyrics and incredibly heartfelt writing which has made me a convert to this style and I hope people give it a chance as it’s really really good.“ I’ll wear your ring “ is my absolute favourite so much so that I’ve downloaded it to my phone’s playlist !!

I've been a long-time fan of Trixie anyway, but this album really cemented it. The only country music I'll listen to really! It comes with a set of Trixie stickers, a double sided poster and a code to download the MP3 album in case you want it backed up. The full album itself is Trixie's 'Two Birds' on the A-Side, and 'One Stone' on the B-Side.On the music side of things, a set of 15 well-written songs with some having traditional country-style lyrics (such as 'Moving Parts'), and others being clear references to the album having been written by a country-loving drag queen ('Mama Don't Make Me Put On The Dress Again').You don't have to like country music, drag queens even Trixie Mattel herself, but you have to appreciate the work put into this album and the quality of it.

i love trixie and i love these albums so much. the record it’s self is awesome it’s clear with a pink blob in the middle! the gatefold is an interview with trixie talking about the albums. however i was disappointed with how it arrived. the record seemed to go all over the place, it was in france, spain, belgium before finally making it to the uk? and when it did arrive the corners etc were pretty badly creased and the record was warped :/

Wow if only all vinyl was made to this high standard - even if you dont like the music this albums defo worth adding to your collection- i love the music as well so i am a very happy trixie fan here. If this was the baseline for vinyl quality we could scrap cds.

Love this country flavoured cd. And there’s a nice double sided poster of Trixie enclosed.
