Lego 76018 Superheroes Hulk Lab Smash

My son loves this Lego set. It took him long enough to build to keep him occupied, but not so long he got bored with it. The little Lego "people" are his favorite part of the set and it includes five characters (Hulk, Falcon, Thor and two other bad guys I don't know.) The only criticism I would offer is that the Hulk figure moves his arms only - his legs, waist and head are fixed, likely so he wouldn't fall over because he's much bigger than a typical Lego guy. My son doesn't mind, though. He's just happy to finally have a Hulk Lego figure.

Boom! That is the sound of this set. It has comic Falcon, comic Thor, MODOK, and Taskmaster, and purple pants hulk. In the comic book that comes with the set, it tells that Thor got hit with a laser, and he fell down at AIM labs. Then, he woke up and found himself in a cage, with Mjolnir powering a laser cannon. Suddenly, Falcon and Thor rush in to save him, beat up the badguys, and win! Minifgures: Hulk: The only purple pants Hulk out there. Thor: Comic Thor! Without a beard, he looks... weird. MODOK: Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing. A scientist who got elected for a unprecedented test, MODOK got a huge intellect boost. Now his head is so big that he has to ride in a hover chair. In Lego form, he has an exclusive head mold, found in no other set (Well, you know, those Friends sets could use a character with a gigantic head and no pupils. What? That would be interesting.) Taskmaster: A villain who can replicate any move the combatant does, he has a skull face and a cool cape. In Lego version, He has a double sided face (unhappy and smiling), a cloak with hood, and some cool torso printing. Falcon: Sam Wilson, originally evil, but turned good once he met Captain America. He has a cool red wing thingy, exclusive head, and exclusive torso. Set: Everything goes boom. Everything. The wall explodes with Hulk's help. The Cage explodes with Hulk's help. The balcony falls down with Falcon's help, and the laser cannon thing falls down with Hulk's help. The one complaint I have with this set it, how did the Taskmaster and MODOK get the hammer up so high? I don't think they're worthy.

a little pricey, but you get some sweet minifigs. modok and taskmaster are what pulled me in. old school thor is also cool, we have like 4 of the avenger thors. I got this for my 5 year old and he absolutely loves it. plays with it all the time and smashes it. after a little frustration he got better at putting all the pieces back on. no biggie.

I bought this set for my stepson when he turned 9, right in the middle of the suggested age range. He is a big fan of super heroes, but didn't have this specific set on his wish list. After looking into it, it seemed like a fun one...fun to build and fun to play with too! On his birthday he was surprised and happy to get it and soon had the entire thing built! Almost a year later, I was asking him what his top 3 Lego sets were (he has quite a few, including some big Star Wars ones) and this managed to make his list. That's saying something! There are a lot of cool "areas" and things to do with this set, long after it's been assembled. Oftentimes Lego sets kind of go untouched after they've been put together, but this one has enough interactive elements that it can be played with and enjoyed outside of the building process. If your son/daughter/nephew/niece enjoys Lego sets along with the Marvel superheroes, they will certainly enjoy putting together the Hulk Lab Smash and playing with it as well!

My wife was away for one week, and my 4 year old son at the time and I spent several days assembling and playing with it. It became his favorite toy for 4 months. Its interactive, with windows, chamber, and laser to smash. A good set of characters keeps my son entertained in stories for 30-40 mins at a time. The set is now smashed apart as his friends visit and tend to break apart the sets, he's learned to keep his special toys away when his friends visit. He still enjoyed playing with the characters, and the lab is easy to rebuild, the beauty of lego.

Legos. I really don't think a review is needed they're awesome you buy it and you put it together and this one has a few different Marvel Heroes and villains to play with which is nice. Holy crap the price though! What the hell happened Legos? If these were priced like this when I was a kid my parents I KNOW would never have bought me any! Good thing my buddy's kids have an awesome guy like me to spoil them but ouch, my wallet!

My 5 year old son recieved this as a gift.. . I don't usually like sets that we put together and cannot really take apart again. I find its very easy to get bored of them. However my son loves everything superhero especially the hulk. He does not watch the movies but on occasion the really old cartoons (which are much better than today's cartoons in my opinion) He took a liking to the hulk and really enjoys this set. The figures are amazing. The detail on them cannot be beat. The set can easily be broken 4 different areas and the easily fixed to do it all over again. My son plays with this often. He also loves to "build" in general and these are good investments as it keeps children away from the tv and video games. When the set accidentally breaks my son needs to think of where and how the pieces go and with practice it is getting easier for him. Initially we built the set with his help. However very soon I would like to take the set apart again and let him have a go at it on his own.
