Situ Lighting: Wireless and Rechargeable LED Art Light - Touch Series USA Made (Black, 3000K)

I purchased this light to brighten fine art hanging in locations where there are no plugs. My key conditions were Wireless, No damaging UV for the artwork, easy to use and install.When opening the box the first thing I noticed is how well constructed the pieces were. Each piece is solid and well manufactured. The charger was quick and lets you know if it is done charging visibly with a light on the charger itself. If the light is green, it is finished charging. Mounting the light was quick and relatively painless, I do recommend planning ahead if your art is acrylic or glass fronted. You will want to have someone sit or stand in the most common viewing locations while you move the light (or vice versa) so you can make sure you don't get the reflection of the lights in the surface of your art. Once you have the location set it's simple to mount the aluminum block to the wall and put in the arm for the light. The light itself attaches with magnets and can be angled based on your needs. There are also three settings so you can set it differently based on the environment.My only criticisms do not impact my rating and are more of a "This would be really nice to have."1) There aren't instructions for mounting the aluminum block and the arm. I recommend including them even though it is self explanatory, including size of the screws and drywall anchors.2) I purchased the black arm and light because the wall I am hanging it on is darkly painted. When you have acrylic or glass fronted art, you need to hang the light a few inches higher than the frame to minimize reflection, Because of this the aluminum block is easy to see and can be distracting. I recommend the option of a black anodized aluminum block or a black cover which can be snapped over the aluminum block to keep it hidden.Great product, thank you! I am changing my earlier, negative review. I first used this very nice light on a piece of artwork that has glass. The light reflects in the glass and that was so disappointing to me. The owners of this company asked me to either try it on a canvas with no glass or return it for a full refund. It took me a while to do this and now that I have switched the light to artwork without any glass in the frame, the true beauty and quality of this light shines through. The battery last a long time and it is all very elegant. I love it.

We have two large framed watercolors by a major American artist. They are painted in stronger darker colors than what is typical for watercolors. Lighting them with these fixtures has brought them to life and added an aesthetically pleasing depth to our dining room. The battery solution works well. These paintings are protected under glass and, while there is some reflection from some angles, it does not detract from the overall excellence of the fixtures. They are sufficiently bright from the lowest brightness setting.

The light has a minimalistic design and is perfect for illuminating artwork. Eventually we will hardwire for more permanent lights, but until we have all pieces in place, this is a perfect substitute. I like that it has an auto-off feature. The only two things I wish it included was a) a remote, and b) an auto-on feature. We are ordering two more.

We took a chance on this lighting,even though it cost way more than we expected to spend. Our space and artwork required a wireless lighting device that was reliable and attractive. Our artwork is a 1 inch stretched canvas ( sorry, no pic available) that required adjusting the mounting instructions. This company included a cover letter with the product with info to contact them directly with any assembly or parts questions. We had a question, made a phone call, and spoke with the company owner. He couldn't have been more helpful. We really do love this light.

Best product ever! This is the second one I purchase and I could not be happier!. It’s sleek, modern, and looks great with our new art piece! Love it!

I ordered a rechargeable “mini spot” light and the larger art light. They are sleek and beautiful and extremely well designed and manufactured. I’ve alread ordered another! The mini spot is particularly nice because it requires no mounting whatsoever—it simply rests (securely) on top of the frame. And they are so sleek they seem to disappear (no bulky battery housing). These are just brilliant!

What a difference the light makes for my large living room painting. It was very easy to install and to remove for charging. I highly recommend this product. Will probably order another for a smaller painting.Barbara Scott
