Great stool
So far so good. Slip resistance has stood up to my use as a 285lb man. It's light and moveable. The color is as-pictured no complaints. The range of height is great for me I am 6'1" and finding a stool that is high enough and can stand up to my weight is great. It was extremely easy to assemble - slide a couple pieces together and whalla. This has worked well with my sit/stand desk that I started using. I had a hard time finding a stool rated for my weight and ended up choosing this stool - after talking with several AI models we discussed the lack of stools at the 300 lbs rating for wobble and leaning stools - it was determined that the max load is if your sitting on it full weight which you don't really do with a standing desk. So a good part of your weight gets transferred to your legs. So far its held up well to a few extra pounds over rating with no complaints.

HOW TO SIT ON THIS THING
First thing you need to know is THE PRODUCT PICTURES SHOW YOU THE WRONG WAY TO SIT ON THIS!! I added my own pictures to this review so you could see the difference (I would guess it is because whoever took the pictures for this listing didn't use this stool themselves and hadn't figured it out.) You need to TUCK YOUR FEET UNDER YOU ON THE BASE DON'T PLANT THEM ON THE FLOOR!! AND POSITION YOUR BUTT OFF THE EDGE OF THE STOOL NOT IN THE CENTER. As soon as you do this you'll notice SEVEN things will happen: 1) there are grooves in the seat to accommodate your legs in that position so it is designed for that position, 2) YOUR SPINE WILL BE PERFECTLY STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN WITH A NATURAL CURVE IN IT. 3) This is the MOST STABLE position for this chair because the pole will stick STRAIGHT UP 5) This is the LEAST TIRING position for your spine and legs because there is no pressure on your legs and no rounding of your spine and 6) Your spine will flex naturally as you reach around you on your desk and it FEELS GOOD ON YOUR SPINE because it is providing gentle natural flexing in several directions and 7) YOUR CORE IS STRENGTHENING because you are FORCED TO HOLD YOURSELF UP STRAIGHT USING YOUR ABDOMINALS, NOT YOUR BACK MUSCLES. If you sit in the position you see the product pictures, your spine rounds forward and you will tire and it will be hard on your back (like in the first picture I attached, you can see the hunchback effect clearly.) In the second picture you can see how naturally straight the kids backs look and how their shoulders are back and not hunched over. I took this into my chiropractor's office and the girls at the front desk tried it and started fighting over it to see who got to sit on it!! Their spines looked much straighter sitting correctly on this stool than they did in their office chairs, and what a great advertisement for a chiropractor! They looked tremendously professional that way. I found one for $70 second-hand, and was sold right away. Buying a second one now so I have one at home and one in the office.

Ergonomic and comfy but would make a change
Bought this wobble stool for my home office standing desk. Easy to assemble and very comfortable when fully sitting in lowered position. I like that it allows movement that forces you to use your core muscles for better posture. Not quite as comfortable to lean on when working in a standing position. My biggest dislike is the seat material. My butt literally slide off of it when in a leaning/standing position. Thought it may have just been the fact that I was wearing sweatpants when I first tried it out. I changed into chinos and then jeans as well and got the same results. Researching a gel pad or something to see if I can use that for some grip and a little extra padding.

Enjoying My Wobble Stool! (well not so much 18 months later...)
I was excited to finally get my Wobble chair. Here is my review: Pros: 1. Compact and takes up little space. 2. Easy to adjust the height (the hydraulic lift post works great). 3. Easy to maneuver around... I like that you can slightly tilt it and change positions. 4. There was no problem with assembly, it took 5 minutes. A small Phillips screwdriver is the only tool needed. 5. I feel I am actively sitting, using my core and legs and encouraging good posture. 6. It doesn't Wobble, which is a good thing. It stays in place. Cons: 1. Seat is not cushioned or firm enough resulting in soreness after a short while of sitting on it. If the cushion was little firmer and about 1" thicker it would not compress to a point that you feel the ridges around the cushion of the molded seat. I am 6' and weigh ~185 pounds. If you are lighter it may not be an issue. I placed 14" Dia. x 2" cushion on top of it, which helped a lot. Other Comments: I use this as my main chair for working at my desk, so I am on it for several hours at a time. It replaced using a large stability ball. The base is heavy, but that was expected for stability and I don't expect to carry it around. Update (10/30/15): After using this chair almost daily for 18 months, I am looking for something else. I really liked the concept because it takes up very little space, but the seat is just too uncomfortable for sitting on all day. I even switched out the seat for the more cushioned replacement I received free from the manufacturer several months after I originally purchased it. Several months after later, I layered on top another 12" diameter cushion (like for a bar stool), which helped for a while, but still not cushioned enough. I even placed a loose third cushion on top. I think it comes down to a combination of seat diameter being too small (add 4") and using a thicker higher density cushion, maybe even 4" thick. If you only using this stool for short sitting periods, it is fine, but for several hours it just gets uncomfortable. Other than the seat, I have not had any other issues with this stool. Downgraded from 4 to 3 stars.

Loved the stool
Loved the stool. Works great as a standing stool. I can adjust it for height very well and thus affect how much weight I actually place on it. I find I my use patterns have evolved with this. I started trying to use it as a stool to take breaks. that was ok, but in the end I find myself just grabbing it every 20-30 mins or so for a quick' lean', and then back to standing. Works out wonderfully. When you consider this is a secondary piece of furniture to your standing desk, and you won't be using it all the time (as you will be standing) can you really justify the price for the top rated stools, I couldn't and thus the purchase. The price for this is just right imho and the quality is excellent. Stability is great and I find no discomfort with the seat cushion as some have reported. Great purchase.

Almost Great.... But not comfortable
I've been looking at wobble stools for a while and did some research to find something that wasn't terribly expensive. In the end I chose two wobble stools to test. There was a lot to like about this stool. It was super easy to assemble, it had the right amount of weight, it would rise to the perfect height I'm 5'10" 170lbs. It didn't take much space in my work area. The first strike was the seat. The fabric that lined the outer surface was a little too slippery. I use shorts while I work from home and I constantly felt like I was slowly sliding down. I even through on a pair of jeans to see if that would help, and sadly still too slippery. My wife offered to reupholster the cover which seemed like a good idea so that is always an option for you all. The Second strike against the seat was that the cushion was simply a little too hard and a little to flat. After about 30 mins of sitting my bottom side simply felt sore. IF they would have provided a more supportive type of cushion that cradled you a little more maybe this would have been the seat I stayed with. I tested this for one week and compared it to the SONGMICS Standing Desk Chair, Adjustable Ergonomic Standing Stool, 23.6"-33.3", Swivel Sitting Balance Chair. ( I am not affiliated or have been paid directly or indirectly from this review) In the end the Songmics chair was more comfortable. Pros: Easy to assemble Easy to move Incredible tilt angles Works well on carpets Cons - Cushion uncomfortable for short periods of time - Fabric too slippery

Great stool. Great company behind it too
Great stool. Great company behind it too. This Wobble Stool worked perfectly on my UnSit Treadmill Desk. For those times I need to perch on something this stool lifts up easily and plops right down on the top of my treadmill. I walk most of the time and I hate standing so when I need a break or to do some detailed manual work this is perfect. This is NOT a chair. Rather it is more of a perch, I distribute my weight 50% on the seat and 25/25 on each foot. I maintain an open hip flexion so I'm almost in a standing position. The Company is great too. I wanted a different material on the seat and they swapped it out at no charge. I had the new seat in 2 days, no cost to me at all. Their support is all via e-mail, I couldn't' call them but their email response time was within minutes.

It's a wobble stool - works just as it should
Some of the comments suggest some people don't understand what a wobble stool is. You don't really sit on it, you lean against it - so the stool and your two feet form a three-point system. Yes the padding is hard - I appreciate that comment. One could use a softer pillow on it. But also, the point of the wobble stool is to avoid the health hazards of long periods of sitting, so not leaning hard in one position for along time is a good thing - the hard padding makes you want to move. I switch between leaning on the wobble stool and standing, and I also move the wobble stool around a lot by straightening and flexing my knees, changing my position - that is, not staying in one position for long. I've only had it for a few weeks but it seems solid. I'm 5' 11" and it goes taller than I need.

Don't underestimate the force required to assemble.
The product arrives in parts. The pictures in the assembly instructions don't match the product exactly, which caused a little bit of confusion. My initial attempt to assemble it failed, and I was worried I'd have to send it back, but I persevered - it turns out it takes substantial force to get the pieces to lock together properly. The instructions say to bounce up and down on the seat to push them together, and they're not kidding. It took so much bouncing I was starting to suspect a manufacturing defect, but eventually it worked. You'll know when its locked together properly because pressing the buttons will cause the seat to lift immediately without much effort on your part. I do actually suspect a design flaw, as I have to press two buttons at once instead of just one as the instructions state, but it still works, so I'm not intending to return it. That's just as well, as disassembling it once assembled is not trivial. The column had some minor paint chips on it, again not enough to make me want to return it. Otherwise, the product is as advertised. I'm using it with my sit-stand desk, and so far I'm happy. I know some have complained about there not being enough padding on the edge, but I think that's probably just due to the way they're sitting on it. I think if you keep moving around enough it's fine. The seat is designed to keep you moving.

But it is comfortable when used as a stool
I've been using for a couple weeks, doesn't work exactly as I envisioned...seat is a bit slippery so if I lean on it at too much of an angle it slowly slides out. But it is comfortable when used as a stool, stashes easily, good weight and seems pretty durable. Do feel it is helping me improve my posture.

I had a similar type stool years ago which I loved for working at drawing board ( regretfully shipped it abroad and too heavy to bring home). Couldn't find the same thing again, so went for this one, which is much pricier elsewhere on the net. Quality is good and it looks good. It also functions well and does what you need it to do, being ideal for working at high tables, drafting boards etc etc. My only crit' is that it is not as comfortable as I hoped, or compared to my previous model. Perhaps I'm just 15 years older, and my back-side is more boney?, but I can't "sit" on it for very long. Like anything else I guess…….if you get to try it out first that's great. Pretty good though.
