Save your money and buy the previous model
The Mizuno Wave Inspire 15 is one of my all-time favorite shoes. So I was anxious to see what improvements were made in the Inspire 16. The answer: Zero. In fact, the 16 is a downscaled, lower quality version of the 15. Less cushioning, less comfort, and cheaper construction. My biggest beef is the reduction in the foam lining around the heel collar. On my first run with the 16, I came back with a broken blister on my ankle from abrasion with the collar. There is a bloodstain on the inside of my right shoe if Amazon wants proof.

Wore Out In 4 Months, With Minor Use
Was actually a nice shoe for the first few months. Lightweight yet supportive. I have probably gone for a dozen 2-3 mile runs in these. I mostly bought them for walking, going to the gym and golfing. After 4 months they have developed a hole in the padding behind my heel on both shoes for some unknown reason. Needless to say, they are now unwearable. Very disappointed. I have owned several pairs of Mizuno Wave Riders in the past that have lasted for YEARS, so not sure what happened to this model.

I've been running in Mizuno Wave Inspire's for 3 years now - this model is even a bit better.
Mizuno's Wave Inspire is a great running shoe for people needing a bit more support and stability. These have consistently given me more miles that other brands in the past. For this year's model, they went with flat laces rather than the round ones from the past few years. I didn't necessarily dislike the round ones, but I do like these. The sole seems a bit more supportive in this model as well.My last pair of Wave Inspires were new just a few runs before they carried me through a full marathon. They then took me through all of the miles I logged during the lockdown earlier this year and into most of the summer. I fear that the new pair will only see virtual races this season. Oh well, even if no one else really sees them in action - they're still keeping my feet happy on my runs!

Disappointed
I've been with the wave inspires for 4 years, including 4 marathons. My favorite brand of running shoe, as I have flat feet and pronate. This shoe usually does wonders for me. However, this year, it feels less cushioned and supportive. The toe box is less roomier. I've been running on a pair of the 16s for 6 weeks now at 25 miles/week. I'm definitely experiencing some knee and leg pain that I don't normally have. My calves have been unusually tight. The only thing I can attribute that to is the change in shoe design.

Simply Excelent!!!!!!!!
This is a top shoe for marathon training, you can manage all kind of distances and in my recomendation, a pace between 5min*km to above, it is not (neceserally) a speed shoe, its more like a balanced training shoe.

Excellent running shoe
I bought these to replace my last pair of Mizuno Wave Nirvanas which were discontinued eons ago (I had purchased several pairs at that time and just went through my last). This is the first time I have purchased running shoes without trying them on first (not recommended, but desperate times...). I bought a half-size larger than usual because I have Morton's toes and had developed black toenails (first time in 40 years of running). I must say I love these every bit as much as the Wave Nirvanas and they are much lighter. Very comfortable with good stability. Would definitely recommend.

Like better then wave rider
Switched to these from rider 18. Riders are much harder ride and not as good of a stability shoe. I rolled my ankles a good bit trail running in the riders and down hill beet my knees up. These are a softer ride with what feels like the same support. I run no more then 3 miles at a time outdoors with many trails, but also wear my running shoes to work in medical field wear I am on my feet all day. My knees feel better l. I am enjoying these shoes very much and they are worth $100. Will continue to come back to Mizuno.

Does not need to be broken in at all.
I have ordered many run shoes through amazon. Once you know your size, you will never have to go into a store to purchase. This shoe did not disappoint! Smooth and did not need to be broken in at all. They are designed for mod overpronaters, and a great stability shoe. Worth the price, will last a while.

Injured my foot
I loved my previous Mizuno's for this exact model, but I'm making a switch after my latest experience and I'm moving on to a different brand. My whole left foot was in pain and I thought it was in my head. I continued to try and deal with it for a couple months, but these shoes just never felt right. Then one morning I couldn't get out of bed. I had to go see a doctor, ended up with a hip injury trying to over compensate for my foot pain.I went back to my old mizuno's after being off the road for about 3 weeks. My other mizuon's, which have way too much mileage, are back on my feet and I have no more pain. The customer service at Amazon is exceptional and why I selected two stars instead of 1. Thanks Amazon, but no thank you to Mizuno. You lost a long time customer.
