Love the idea - super small, light travel charger that works with the cable I use for my phone. It just doesn't work.Got one. Didn't work. Tore the zip lock bag it came in, so I may be stuck paying for it.Got a second. Didn't work.Won't try a third time.I have a Surface Pro 6.

It works as described and as expected. You must have a USB-C charger with power delivery supporting 15V, 3A mode for it to work. Less powerful 18W phone chargers will not work with Surface Pro.The connector is well-made, it attaches with the same force as my native power cable. There is a charging indicator light on the connector. The adapter will put the charger into 15V mode and draw variable current depending on what Surface needs. When charged, no current is drawn from the power supply.I've been annoyed by older Surface models lack of USB-C charging for a long time. Finally decided to look for a USB-C to Surface adapter and found this. Now I can charge my frequently used devices from a single compact charger, all at the same time.I already have several USV-C charging cables of different length. With this adapter, I can connect this adapter to a short USB-C cable to keep my desk uncluttered or a long one when I work elsewhere. Or use it with another computer's USB-C charger with the permanently-attached USB-C cable. It's great to have options.

Works as expected. Cannot say will last long, but build quality is very high so I suppose it will

For some reason, the charging tips on this converter only seems to work when aligned top-down, with the cord pointing downward. If the other oritentaiton, then, my Surface 7 won't charge. I've not seen this behavior with other chargers.

I've used the adapter for a little less than a year mostly with no issues; however, the wire insulation jacket has come loose and exposing the wires (see photo). This has begun to cause intermittent connection issues if the adapter is moved in the slightest. Although the adapter has worked fine up until this point, I cannot recommend due to its poor durability.I have reached out to the seller for a warranty replacement and will update this review to provide feedback on their customer service.

i bought this along with the Amazon Basics 65W One-Port GaN USB-C Wall Charger with Power Delivery PD and it charges my Surface Go 2 up super fast. Definitely would recommend this item.
