Camping lanterns
Bought these to power a pair of old GE fluorescent camping lanterns. They work great so far, powering the lanterns for over 7 hours straight while the power was out. Still have enough power that charging is not needed yet.

Update - need to charge before use
This set of 8 Nimh D cells is the first size I bought from EBL. I have purchased other sizes since. I tested the D-cells in a 4-cell Maglite flashlight and was surprised at the result. With the flashlight on continuously, I judged that it burned at full brightness for 24 hours and then began slowly declining up to 36 hours - it was very dim by then, but not dead. I also like the reusable molded plastic 2-pack containers the EBL Nimh batteries come in, either for storing those batteries or for other batteries, such as, standard carbon batteries. This result was with an LED lamp, The old standard lamp uses a lot more oower. Update 12-19-2021: I mistakenly called these batteries lithium, but they are actually Ni-MH. They do not come fully charged as claimed. They should be charged in a good charger before using. Beware of cheap chargers. I put 4 barely used batteries and 4 that had never been unsealed in a new advanced charger with individual cell controls and found that all 8 required many hours to reach full charge. I am not saying there is anything wrong with the batteries, only that they should be charged before use. Update 12-19-2021 I mistakenly called these batteries lithium - they are actually Ni-MH. What I want buyers to know is that while the writeup says they come fully charged, that is far from the case. I wondered why the light in my Maglite flashlight was so dim. I put the 4 with very little use so far and the 4 which were never unsealed in a newly purchased advanced charger with individual cell controls and found that they all took many hours to reach full charge. I do not mean that there is anything wrong with the batteries, but only that they need to be charged before using.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES AND CHARGER
Work as expected, but a drawn down in about 18 hours of usage in my particular radio. Work as expected however. Good purchase for the Elite Field Radio I purchased.

No more wasting money on regular batteries.
Obviously, I love the fact that they are rechargeable. I did do a side by side comparison with a fully charged pair of EBLs vs. a fresh pair of regular alkaline and the alkalines did last longer, but that's why a got three pairs of EBLs, so I always have fully charged batteries to swap out. I hate wasting money on batteries. I have purchased every size of EBL rechargeable and the multi charging stations.

A must have for my remote lighting
My ring path lights take D cells. I can't imagine having to replace them on a regular basis. These have lasted well so far, although I have yet to recharge and see how the capacity holds up. I will come back for an update in a few months. Solar lights are not practical for us in the woods... too much shade

I bought these rechargeable D batteries to power the navigation beacons for my robot lawnmower, aiming to avoid the cost of constantly replacing standard batteries. They’ve performed really well — one charge lasted the entire mowing season without any issues, and they’re still in current use, running for months without a problem. Performance • Strong, steady output — easily powers my mower beacons all summer. • Reliable outdoors: the casing has held up well even after months in the garden. (Photo: battery after summer use) Charging • They take quite a while to fully recharge, but that’s expected given the high capacity. • Once topped up, they’re ready to run for weeks at a time. (Photo: batteries in charger) Pros • Long runtime — lasts for months on one charge • Cost-effective compared to disposable D cells • Durable even in outdoor use Cons • Long recharge time Verdict Solid, dependable D cells that have already saved me money compared to disposables, and still going strong after months in use. Hope this helps if you’re considering them too. (Photo 1: batteries in charger) (Photo 2: single battery after months outdoors — still in good condition)

Purchased these to use in the blink floodlights as they have a high charge rate. Up to now I haven't seen much of a difference with length of time they last but cost wise they were also cheaper than the big named ones at lower charge. Time will tell if they will do the job but up to now they seem fine.

We have a load of smart blinds for the house and use 6 batteries each, so we can just recharge then once per year Vs £70 a time, we got them with the charger and it is brilliant, we will be buying more batteries once the old to replace and save money

I normally try to find the best value in terms of D rechargeable batteries but a review of the charging capacity made me re- consider. The current charging capacity of my current set of D rechargeable only equates to the capacity of a set of AA atteries and this is after following the guidelines of a certain consumer magazine. In terms of lasting capacity l seemed to be constantly putting in fresh sets of batteries every few days. These higher capacity batteries though costing slightly more are still going strong after well over a week which fits in well what other reviewers have found.
