Pretty Kitty

We checked this out from the library, and then I just had to buy it. The rhymes are great and the pictures are adorable. I think my 2-year-old appreciates the repetition and the adorable kitties. The old man in the book reminds you of the grumpy dad who doesn't want a pet cat, and then ends up doting on the new pet kitten.

This is such a cute story and perfect for any cat lover. My 4-year-old daughter simply loves this story and it has become part of our regular bedtime story rotation. The illustrations are adorable, the story is sweet, and the plot is engaging enough to read over and over again. Excellent purchase!

Absolutely LOVE this beautiful book. The surprise at the end is so heart-warming. Little and big kids will enjoy this fun counting book. Brilliant concept!

I love this so much! My almost 8 year old and 3 year old loved it, too. We loved the rhymes and the illustrations as the old man realizes he loves the kitties. It had surprising depth to it, too - as I think he is remembering his own cat who must have passed away (but it's not laid out in a way a kid would necessarily understand - just he looks at a photo of his old cat and it inspires him to adopt all the kitties). So much fun to read and so touching. I got it out from the library but am now going to buy it, despite vowing not to buy more books - lol!
