Makes a thin lather, no matter how much product or how little water one uses. Lather doesn't last through shaving both sides of my face. Razor drags because it's so thin.

Very moisture rich soap with an awesome scent profile. Very easy to lather, leaves my skin feeling really good. Keep up the great work.

Great soap, keeps skin from getting too dry. This soap has a pleasant scent that lasts, not a heavy overpowering smell. Office ladies love the scent and keep asking me what type of aftershave I'm wearing, it's soap I say.

I have no disagreement with others who have touted the qualities of slickness, loading, non-irritating, cushioning, dynamic soap, etc. I do disagree, however, with the sandalwood scent. Admittedly, I'm basing my remarks on the scent of Indian Sandalwood, to which I relate well. It could be, however, for this particular soap that some captain was presented a worn-out, forty plus-year-old sandal once worn by a nomad who lived in a Middle East desert and used that sandal as a vessel for carrying his shaving soap. I'll need help with the 'wood' part unless the old sandal rested on some partially rotted wood.

This soap smells good but not too strong, Shaves great enough that I used up 1 jar & plan to order another one. This shave soap is easy to lather up also. It smells exactly like Captain's Choice sandalwood aftershave also. Highly recommended!

Lathers fair. Scent is ok more of a greener sandalwood. Not like a mature sandalwood. It doesn’t stick with you as long as I would like but your millage may varry

I like this as a shaving soap but was very disappointed with the scent. I wanted a soap with sandalwood scent. This soap had other scents so the sandalwood scent is almost negligible. I will not purchase again.

Wow. The other reviews sold me on trying this over the TOBS sandalwood. What a mistake. Take note, if you like the scent of TOBS or any kind of woodsy smelling sandalwood, this is not it. The best way I can describe the scent on this stuff is sour lemon. I was expecting a very different scent. I only used this once, so i'm hoping I can still return it.
