I bought one of these years ago, but never wrote a review so here it is now. This is absolutely worthless to somebody in areal fight. If you bring this for protection against someone who has a knife or a brick. You had better drop this worthless piece of crap and run as fast as you can.First this thing isn't near long enough and second the tip is way to light. If they want a good spanking this might have enough power, but don't push it because it's definitely not going to disable the person only make them more angry. It would be like giving some stranger a love-tap, then they would probably pull out a gun or long knife and shove it in your face. I still have this thing somewhere in a box because I realized I would be in serious trouble carrying this poorly made object.

Didn't inhibit my buddy from attacking me while demonstrating it. He did say that it hurt but it didn't slow or stop him from going in for a grapple.. I didn't find it to be effective in actual self defense, perhaps a visual deterrence would be present if my buddy were an actual attacker and fearful of what may happen.. This thing hurts but it didn't stop or stun. It does draw blood and leaves gnarly welts.Customer service is excellent and the seller is very responsive!

Fantastic great Price I wish it was 4 inch longer though

Price is right, it's light-weight, durable, and well constructed. I'd give it a 5 star rating except for one small flaw: the belt clip is so tight and the flare at the end of the clip is so small that it's nearly impossible to slip the thing onto thin running shorts, much less a thicker leather belt. I recommend the designers flare the clip upward just a tiny bit and loosen the clip just a teeny bit (not too much).Note: as a temporary workaround I used needle-nosed pliers to bend the clip slightly.

Some times you just need a little help from your friends. This device comes in handy. Simple, easy, and any member of your family can use it with a little training. I have one in every car I own and several around the house. Should a hooligan approach my auto or residence they will soon find out that they should move on and not bother me or my wife.

Easy to conceal and carry. Thankfully haven't needed to use yet.

While the Fast Strike deserves no more than three stars (if not two), I'm giving it 4 stars for the following reasons:1. Its easily concealable and fits comfortably in my front pocket.2. In self defense, a knife in your dominate hand and a Fast Strike in the other will create enough confusion to your attacker for the knife to be effective.The construction of the Fast Strike is kinda junky overall. By itself it is no good for self defense and I will not be using this as my sole means of self defense. But as a defense tool in your less dominate hand it may definitely work well for those who already have some fighting skills under their sleeve. The metal tip on the Fast Strike does hurt when you hit your forearm with it as I did. Though again, its not a good defense tool to use by itself. In the winter time when people are wearing thicker coats, the Fast Strike may be rendered useless.
