Redistribution of weight, narrow beater bar, changing bag
12/7/2020 --Thought I would give this brand a try. Spouse wanted a light weight vacuum. You can't have light weight and great cleaning power in one vac - it doesn't exist. I'd read all the reviews on this vac, so I knew what to expect. this vac weights 2.5 pounds less than our previous upright vac - going in the right direction. From the beater bar hinge up, it's much heavier than our previous Eureka upright. This leads to instability when it's in the upright position. I have a big scar on the wall to prove how easily it tips over. If they'd just added 2 inches "behind" the beater bar hinge and moved the rear wheels back - this wouldn't be a constant problem. The concentrated weight above the beater bar hinge weighs on your hands and arms when you're using the vac. It's noticeably different and heavier. The piano hinge compartment at the top of the upright body - also has the hose inlet - and many have complained that junction breaks frequently. The hose coupling and hose have to move 90 degrees when the lid is opened to change the bags. this leads to stress on the connection and hose. Think about repeatedly flexing your headphone connector over it's lifetime. thought I'd ordered the 15" beater bar, but had actually ordered the 12" in. It's narrow, but does a GREAT job on our heavy carpet floors. Just takes more passes. The upright is lowered by placing your foot on the beater bar and pulling back and down on the upright handle. The beater bar is vertically much smaller than the previous Eureka - so it can get under things easier, but the upright body prohibits getting too far under furniture. Not a problem for us. It does look commercial. Love the 40 foot cord - but it's dynamic bright yellow - workplace safety no doubt. The body is battleship gray.. It's out of sight most of the time - so not a factor for us. You can see from the picture the rear wheel hinge point and center of balance is too far to the rear - leading to very easy tip overs of the vacuum. Also the top part of the upright handle has to be "hammered"/forced onto the lower shaft. It's very tight, if you don't have it lined up perfectly - you'll get a giant crease like I did..Beater bar seems to skimp on the nylon bristles.. but cleans well. We thought the noise level was fine. Overall, at this point, I'd give it about a 7. Nice try, but falling short in several human factors and ergonomics areas. I change the bags on my vacs freqently. Love that this is a HEPA vac...

Love it!
Being 65, I have used many types of vacuums. I purchased my first Electrolux in the 1980’s. By the time I replaced it in 2003, (although it was still working), it was called Aerus. I purchased the Lux 6000 upright with tools on board - the vacuum of my dreams. It too still works, but it was time to upgrade once again. After much research, I found that design was now a ProTeam. I purchased the upright with the 12” base so I could access several smaller areas in my home. There is slightly more weight when using the vacuum. I can’t begin to express how happy I am with this vacuum. It suctions very well on my carpet, and then moves easily to my laminate floors. I love having the hose at my finger tips whenever needed along edges, in tight spaces, or for cobwebs. The brush and the crevice tools are also right on board for easy access. With the 50’ cord, I can vacuum my whole house without having to unplug. The price was reasonable. The shipping and delivery was timely. Assembly was easy, although I did need my husband’s help attaching the handle. I would definitely buy this vacuum again.

This is a very sturdy and powerful upright vacuum very similar to the Aerus/Electrolux ...
This is a very sturdy and powerful upright vacuum very similar to the Aerus/Electrolux uprights from 2000-2004 that had a built on hose, but with a narrower 12" swipe path that makes it more maneuverable in residential cleaning situations. I only have 2 minor gripes about it, first, not a problem for me but my crews like to gripe about how heavy it is. I personally like the extra weight at the head because it makes better carpet tracks, but if the people you have using it aren't particularly strong you may want to consider an alternative. My second gripe concerns a safety feature of the vacuum that prevents the brush roller from activating when vacuum is in full upright position. I understand why it is there, to keep people from walking away from vacuum with roller bar burnishing a spot on the carpet, but it does make it difficult to use on carpeted stairs. Also as with all uprights, if the home you are using it in predominantly hard surface (wood or tile) a backpack or canister vacuum is going to be a better option with a bristled floor attachment. All in all though, a great vacuum whose quality makes it worth the slightly heaftier price tag.

Look no further, this is the one you have been looking for.
I had an Electrolux 4000 for many many years and absolutely loved the dual motors. I used the metal wand so much that the end would wear down so much that when you put it into the holder it was wore so bad that it wasn't engaging the bottom brush motor. Over the almost twenty years I replaced the wand several times. Recently it happened again and I couldn't get the wand again from the dealer...discontinued. So I decided it was time for a new vacuum...but I wanted all the features of my old vacuum, mainly the dual motors. After some research I came across this one...it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this was my faithful Electrolux commercially made under the ProForce name. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it and the brush head is a lower profile so it fits better underneath things. Best part, I ordered a wand for this new machine and it fit perfectly on my old Electrolux so it is backup and running. So I now have it down in the basement....no more carrying the vacuum down the stairs. I can't say enough about this new machine, it has so much suction and very surprising quite, plus it is priced right, especially knowing how many years you can expect out of it.

It does not use type U bags.
The exhaust filters keeps the machine from lying flat down to get under things. It is heavy. My 15 inch Electolux ProLux (This is the newer version) was lighter and laid down flat, but not a hyper filter( does it mater???) I would rather have it lie down flat. This should last a good 30 + years like my ProLux which I gave away still running good.

Great Commercial Vacuum
We have our own cleaning business and were looking for a good vacuum for some office cleaning. Very powerful vacuum. It's not loud like other vacuums and we love the 50 foot cord. We can often clean an office without ever changing plugs. We also like that it has a three year warranty.
