Great Taste
These noodles are awesome. We tried a new recipe that called for them and were initially hesitant, but they turned out great. Healthier than regular noodles. In the summer eating them cold is refreshing. Super easy and fast to cook. We have these set on repeat, so we never run out. The texture is very similar to regular pasta, but due to being made out of buckwheat makes theym healthier. The package size is a great value and so convenient.

Very good taste & texture. Easy to cook.
Delicious. As expected.Simplified cooking instructions. (Traditional method is to boil water, stir in noodles. Bring back to a boil for a couple minutes, add a cup of cold water; repeat 3x.)Would be nice if they weren't so pricey. But they are imported from Japan & definitely better texture than mushy US products.I'll buy again.

Tastes Great, but Expensive
I love the taste of these. I often make soups with homemade stocks and toss in some veggies when the noodles are al dente (I would love to see what Google translate does with that). Love the flavor and texture of these noodles; although, I will probably be struck by lightening one of these days for my heretical practice of snapping the bundles of noodles in half before tossing them in the pot. Ah, yes, I've also use these as a base for mussels, tossing those in slightly before al dente, so the noodles are not al mushy when the mussels pop open.I will say that I happened to wander in to a Korean grocery store south of me in Hopewell Junction and found these for 1/3 the price. As with all items Amazon, beware. Even at the Amazon prices, they are a good value for $$$/circular-belly_rubs.I also admit that I transfer these to a Ziploc bag when I first open the package, so they don't absorb ambient moisture in the pantry. For shipping, the packaging is fine and if you don't live in some place like the tropical Hudson Valley, you may very well not have to do this.

Excellent buckwheat noodles for a great price.
Best priced, great texture noodles...I love buckwheat noodles on cold salads or in soups/stews but recently the prices have soared, double at my local market. I bought two of these this week since this is a staple in my pantry, I may buy more. The secret to cooking these noodles is to not overcook them...they are delicate and can become mushy in seconds. I buy all my noodles from this company, ramen, udon, brown rice noodles and soba.

Very good for cold soba.
Noodles cook up with a pleasing shape. They have that good texture and just the right amount of chew.I got these for cold soba and they hold on to the dipping sauce well, for a very refreshing and pleasant experience. For this dish the noodles really matter.

Japan at its best.
If you can't go to Japan for some real tasty buckwheat noodles, this is the next best thing.Pairs wonderfully with Shirakiku Soba Noodle Soup Base and similar brands of flavoring.I've ordered these noodles several times and have made them part of my "stock" along with pasta and other grains.
