Those DVD's where awesome in getting my little one to open up about her needs and wants. But I was still struggling in getting her to "connect" with me in a more personal way.This DVD shows examples of many things I was already practicing at home with my child, but for some reason it took a DVD modeling these things for it to click in her head that "hey, I can/should do this, too!!".My daughter now LOOKS at me when I ask her to! The first time she did I wanted to scream and woop for joy! (I held it in, I didn't want to startle her into not responding again). I still well up when she looks at me when I call for her.The Volume 2 DVD expands on what is taught here (you really should get both) and I luv how at the end, the creator shows one or two of her own home movies (how she started to model for her son). It has inspired me to record myself and our daily activities, too. But I won't be giving away my DVD's anytime soon! ### ⭐ Not good for autistic children! *by R***N on October 15, 2007* This is a good concept and my child loved the videos, however, there is a child on the video that has several parts and he has a speech impediment. I later found out that my son developed that same speech problem because, as many autistic children do, he echo's / memorizes what's on the videos. Now he cannot pronounce his l's correctly among other things.... I haven't let him see these videos for about a year now and he still has the same speech problem. These videos should be taken off the market! My son has enough problems besides developing a speech impediment! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ just ordered these *by E***. on September 12, 2015* I just ordered a 7 dvd set from the Watch me learn website, they have a 50% off sale for school, not sure if it's a limited time offer sort of thing. It is just under 80 dollars with free shipping for 7 dvds. You could also get 5 dvds for just under 70 with, I assume, free shipping. The psychologist recommended these modeling videos when my son was evaluated and diagnosed with Autism, he is almost 6 yrs. old now. He just started kindergarten and is having a lot of trouble adjusting. I couldn't imagine paying 30 bucks per dvd, so I checked craigslist, and found the website charging 15 per dvd, but with major discounts for buying sets. I will update my reviews once I receive and use them.
