UV CLEAN Portable Sanitizer Bag

I will admit that this was a bit of a COVID panic-buy. I’d actually been looking at these types of items for several months, but finally pulled the trigger during Coronavirus.I really really like this product. It is extremely simple to use. It has a bright blue light to tell you when it’s on. The same light turns red when it’s on a low battery and needs to charge, then green once it’s fully charged. I was concerned it would need constant charging, but I was wrong. I’ve had it for a while now and have only ever charged it twice. I annoyingly have to carry several phones for work, and the little clips hold both the iPhone and Samsungs very snugly. I also like the option to clean other items with the shelf insert, but I haven’t used it yet.I generally wait a while before writing reviews to see how I like a product over time. This UV sanitizer has not failed to impress. It’s really well priced compared to other products that do the same thing, and it works like a charm.

I've had my original Homedics UV cleaning bag for several years and have used it several dozen times for sensitive objects that are either too delicate or too difficult to clean with chemicals (phone, keys, toothbrush, eyeglasses, makeup and makeup brushes). I just ordered a second one as a gift to my parents. After getting treated for Epstein Barr Virus by my alternative health Lyme Stop Dr, it is a lifesaver for preventing reinfection by our everyday items!

This appears to work very well, but you have to know a few things about it that some of the negative reviewers were not aware of:You CANNOT see UV light with a camera, so your phone will NOT be able to record the light while it is working.Second, you CANNOT have it plugged in and use it for sanitizing at the same time. The plug is ONLY for charging the battery. Once the battery is charged, you should unplug it and use it until the light on the side of the case begins to show red during use.The proper way to use this device is as follows:1) Charge it fully until the Homedics light on the button on the side is a solid GREEN2) Unzip the case and place your phone (or whatever) inside using the clips (for phone)3) Zip up the case and make SURE to connect the zipper tab to the magnetic spot on the back that is outlined in white4) Press the Homedics button ONCE to begin the cycle. It will flash blue until it is done.As for those claiming that it does not kill viruses or bacteria, I would suggest that if they can prove that, they would be able to sue for false advertising. The site is VERY clear that it kills 99% of bacteria and viruses at the DNA level. They will provide you with a strip to show that the cycle works--some reviewers have reported no effect using something other than what the company provides and may therefore be using the wrong kind of product to test the company's claims. Again, if you can prove that it does not work, you have a case against the company, but I am deeply skeptical that they are lying about killing 99% of viruses and bacteria at the DNA level.Once we learned how to use it correctly, we've been very happy with the product. Would give it 5 stars if it were more intuitive or worked while being charged, but that is minor.

It is hard to review something that I can't judge it's effectiveness... You can't "see" the results after its use, but I'm just hoping that it actually does kill virus's and bacteria like it says. I know UV light really does work, so hopefully this is that kind of light.I turned the video camera "on", on my phone while I used the sanitizer. You cant see inside otherwise while its in use because the zipper has to be all the way closed in order for it to turn on. There definitely is a blue light that turns on inside. I saw another "1 Star" review that did the same thing, but stated that there was no light and thought it was a scam... Maybe they had a defective one? Idk. Either way, it is easy to use, portable, and gets many uses off of one charge. I sanitize my phone/keys every day I get home from work. I am a firefighter/paramedic so I try not to bring any germs home. Hopefully it actually does what it says!! I have no reason to dispute that unless I'm taking swabs and looking at it under a microscope. So unless I hear different, I'll give it 5 stars!

I would never recommend this product to anyone. I bought this unit to sanitize my phone and ID cards after shifts in the hospital. At first, the unit seemed to be working and my items were warm after taking them out of the case. However, like many other reviewers note, it's hard to know if it is actually working and I didn't try taking a video with my phone inside.After one month of use, it slowly stopped holding a charge no matter how long it was plugged in for. When I try to use it, the blue light comes on indicating it's sanitizing but the light goes out after about 15 seconds. I turned on my phone camera and placed it inside to see if there was any light when it was supposedly sanitizing. It was completely dark the whole time. I'm not convinced the unit ever worked properly and am currently working on getting a refund or warranty validation.

I looked at many cheaper items, but decided on this as it is a reputable make. Seems good construction. Has little holders for phones, a rack for other items and takes just 1 minute. Charge seems to last a while. Good quality.

The media could not be loaded.  4Stücke UV-Lampe (2Rechts,2Links) desinfiziert gut genug oder nicht.....das ist fragwürdig.Aber ich benutze es jedenftag für FFP2 Maske zu desinfizieren.

This product was easy to use, convenient and did everything it says on the box except work.... I tried the banana test, nothing, then heard it was a fake test 🤷‍♀️. I bought uv beads and put them in with my stuff... nothing... if I leave them out in the sun they colour up beautifully but in the bag.... zilch... I'm afraid, for the price, I can only say dont bother...
