Grannicks Bitter Apple Taste Deterrent for Dogs - 2 Pack

I have a GSD puppy - I don't think there's anything she wouldn't chew. Same as her brother before her - for TWO YEARS - but this one has even thought baseboard and wallboard were good ideas. This stuff works and I don't know what I'd do without it.Just an explanation:Flavor = 5 === it keeps dogs from chewing on whatever you spray this on.Scent = 5 === not offensive to humansThickness = 5 === it is thin and doesn't make a mess no matter where I've sprayed it.I have no staining anywhere from spraying this (couch, rug, furniture, wall, baseboard, wallboard, etc.). I can't swear it won't stain your object, but it has stained none of mine.

I liked the very effective response my 4 month doberman pinscher showed when he first experienced the spray. He immediately dropped the item and did not go back to it. At first. Eventually, he apparently became acclimated to it, & it was not so quickly effective, but by that time the single minded pursuit of shoes, trash, clothes, etc., had actually been tamed to the point where he could be distracted and redirected into more appropriate activities. I'm a fan. This is worth your try

This has been out of stock for ages. WHY? because it WORKS! Doesn't have much of a smell to people. DOGS hate it and whatever you spray it on, they will not touch with their mouths. Use for hotspots on dogs, furniture legs that should not be chewed, pretty much anything that will not be affected by getting damp. It's been around for many years and people with dogs swear by it. Don't know if it's safe for cats. Planning to buy more when it's on here.

Update - they were nice enough to return my product. It didn’t work for me but maybe it works for you. I put three stars instead of 1 so that their rating wouldn’t be affected as muchIt smells like plain old rubbing alchohol made into spray plus I only got 1 instead of 2....the spray worms if the pet tries to use a certain thing immediately but it fades within 1 or 2 minutes just like alchohol would or hand sanitizer. Biggest waste of money. I’m still waiting on them to give me my money back because they only sent me one but this product isn’t eligible for return because it’s flammable —-

The product works once my puppy’s tongue comes into contact with the product. Not necessarily by mouth/ teeth contact. It actually has to touch his tongue and he stays away, i feel like most deterrents are like that. Its more to teach/ to condition not to bite a certain object.

We have an Irish setter puppy who gets angry at his leash and chews on it. Well, a couple squirts of this stuff and the leash chewing stopped. It doesn't last forever so you have to apply it daily, but it does work.

I had to give a rating for flavor and scent of a product that is supposed to taste bad and repel cats.... well it bad! So bitter i still taste it a month later.

It was great at keeping my dog from chewing on things I didn’t want him to.
