Wonderful Little Kettle So Far
I've only had the kettle about a month so can't speak to it's durability but I can say that so far I like everthing about the kettle, with one minor exception. The kettle heats very fast. I never have to wait over 2 minutes to have 3/4 full kettle at 195 degrees. And I love the touch controls (like a smart phone). There are no "buttons" to worry about getting water into. The interface is very simple and smart. Pressing Temp will cycle between several pre-set temperatures. Just press until you get the temp that's closest to your desired temperature, then use the + or - controls to dial in you temperature. The next time you turn it on the temp shown will be the last one you selected. If, like me, you use the same temperature all the time you never have to set the temperature again.- smart. It has a function (Keep Warm) that will keep the kettle at or near your selected temperature for up to an hour. That's a very nice feature as I don't have to stand and watch the temperature. I just start the kettle and go do other things while it heats up and then it will keep it at that temperature until I return (up to and hour I think). If you want to boil water you just touch the Boil control. The only thing that is a minor complaint is the knob on the lid feels very flimsy and I'm afraid it may be easy to break but a knob is easy enought to replace so not a big deal. Like I said I can't speak to the kettle's longevity but aside from that I would recommend this little jewel to anyone. By the way, I thinks it's one of the best looking kettles also and I love the black finish - I have enough stainless steel to keep fingerprints off.

Brim Gooseneck Kettle
We have been using the kettle daily since it arrived in December. The temperature control system works well so far and I quite like the design of the gooseneck pouring system. It is also small and does not take up much valuable counter space, a plus for our needs. What I don't like was that it was advertised as having a wooden handle. The handle that we received is obviously cheap plastic that doesn't meet well at the seam so we will see how long it last. It was not a "cheap" kettle so I am hoping for the best. I feel that the product description was misleading at best.

A Little Flimsy, But Great Otherwise
I really like this one! Did a lot of research on gooseneck kettles, since we brew many different kinds of high-end teas and coffee in our house, and this one has all the features I wanted. Very fast boiling, good temperature hold. The quality of materials is the only flaw: very flimsy, thin metal, especially on the lid and handle, which feel like toys. Overall, I’d recommend over not other kettles, though. I hope it holds up. When you lift the kettle full of water, the handle (even reinforced with the “wooden” grip) bends, and the lid feels like it will break. But no far, no damage.

Perfect little kettle
Easy to use. Looks nice on the counter. Paired with a Brim pour over decanter… makes great coffee! Wish the handle was wood rather than plastic.

Works, but could use a fair bit of improvement
Cons:First off, the temperature set function doesn't really work all that well. For example, I like to brew some of my teas at 200f. When you set the kettle to 200f, it'll beep then, but it's clear from the noise of water roiling that it's still heating. So you can move the kettle off the unit and when you re-place it on there, it'll often read 207f or 208f and *not* 200f.When you set it to boiling, it often boils for a little bit, then cools and finally beeps. So when you replace the kettle, it's closer to 209f or 210f and not actually boiling. Which is okay, but it's clear it really could've used better calibration. The handle is kind of tacky in person. Overall, the unit looks decent though. The lid is actually terrible. If you've just boiled water and need to refill for another infusion, the way it's designed is not at all amenable to removal when the unit is hot. It's hard to get a grip on the stupid knob and remove it straight up without risking getting scalded since you have to pull upwards and the knob is super flimsy.I know this is a gooseneck thing, but the pour speed is just garbage in comparison to a regular kettle and makes flash infusions darn near impossible.Pros:The base unit looks nice. One of the most affordable temperature setting options available

Err & rust within 3 months
3 Months of use Update:I am an avid tea drinker and I have three kettles in different rooms in my house. I know how to take care of a kettle. This kettle has not lasted 3 months. The inside is rusting. That is not limescale pictured, it's rust. I descale my kettles regularly and use only purified water, so I'm certain this is not limescale. It's also the notoriously brown color of rust. Additionally, I am getting an 'Err' message on my kettle daily now. I'm at the point where it will not function unless I unplug and leave it unplugged for ten minutes and then plug it back in. This thing is a headache.I went to the Brim website to see if I could get some warranty service, but the website is impossible to navigate. I can't find any information about a warranty or otherwise. SUPER disappointed in this product. Don't waste your money if you're a regular tea drinker, this kettle will die in a few months.***Good little kettle for a decent price. We’ll see how well it holds up with time. The temperature control is nice and easy to adjust. I like that the presets are easily adjusted with the up down - go to the preset and adjust up or down and keep it warm to maintain the temp. Some people have complained about the beep - I actually like it. It beeps when you do something. When keeping warm it’s silent.I already have a nicer kettle for my kitchen, this one is for my office so I was primarily looking for size and good temp control and this fits the bill. I’ll update on durability as I use it.
