Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser, 6 Ounces

This is a great, affordable facial cleanser for sensitive skin. I have mild rosacea and am in my 40's, so it's important that I use gentle, nourishing products on my skin. I used Olay for years with good results but have found that as I age, their products have become too harsh for me. I also really like the idea of using more natural ingredients and products that are not tested on animals.Before trying Burt's Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser, I ordered Image Skincare Ormedic Balancing Facial Cleanser through an online seller. It is a wonderful product that I purchased several times in the past through a licensed skincare specialist, but due to the cost and convenience factor, I decided to order it online at a lower price. That was a mistake. It was not an authentic product and my skin actually had a very bad reaction to it. I also tried Era Organics Natural Face Wash through Amazon, but ended up returning it because it dried my face so badly and I questioned some of the "natural" ingredients.Burt's Bees makes good quality products using simple, natural ingredients and sells them at a reasonable price. I'm giving their Radiance Facial Cleanser 4 out of 5 stars because I really like it, but it's not my absolute favorite. I do use it daily with good results and noticeably more radiant skin. My first choice is still Image Skincare's Balancing Cleanser (the authentic version), but for the price, I think I'll stick with Burt's Bee's cleanser for a while :)

It hasn't caused any skin reactions (I am not very sensitive except with makeup), and my acne seems under some semblance of control. Being my first natural product, it todes make my face feel nice and soft, but the texture is still bad. The pump-squirt bottle is convenient, and it locks closed easily which is good for travel.What I don't dislike: The smell is not unpleasant, though it's not my favorite either. It's not a lingering smell, only when you put it on.What I dislike: The product claims to have exfoliating jojoba beads, but although I can feel some on my hands, I never feel them on my face; there aren't enough to do anything. Although there is nothing wrong with this product, I am looking for something better.Bottom line: It's a nice cleanser to have and try to see if it works for you. It doesn't seem to cause any reactions, and it may do good for you. For me though, I am looking for something more effective.

Where do I start? I love this cleanser. I love how it smells and how it makes my face feel. I generally have acne prone skin and I have used proactiv in the past and it worked well for a long time, but when I decided to take a more natural route to skin health, I realized how badly proactiv ruined my skin. It has taken me awhile to get my skin back to better state. I was a little hesitant to try this cleanser because it doesn't say that it will do anything for acne prone skin, but I have been using it for over a month now and I haven't had any breakouts. My skin is glowing and looks so good! I use it in conjunction with the Burt's Bees Radiance Toner and the Burt's Bees Renewal SPF 30 Firming Day Lotion. I have definitely noticed how my skin has brightened up since using this product. I will definitely continue buying this! I would have preferred it to be even a little more natural than it is, but I'm happy with the product. I have tried several other "natural" skin care lines and honestly, the Burt's Bees products are such a great value. They're not overly expensive and they work well.

This review is for the original cream cleanser, not the new foaming version. I've used this product daily for well over a year.I used to think that my acne was caused by oily skin, so for years I used products with harsh chemicals like salicylic acid. My acne never went away and I went from break out to break out. For other health reasons, I switched to a gluten free diet and found my skin became even more sensitive to the products I was using. For example, my skin suddenly became red, swollen, and itchy when I applied Neutrogena On-the-Spot treatment to a pimple.I tried many sensitive skin product lines, including the Mega Mushroom line by Dr. Weil for Origins. My skin was reacting to everything! Finally, my research led me to try Burt's Bees Radiance line. The change in my skin was unbelievable. For the first time in my life I am acne free. I no longer have dry zones and oily zones and areas of redness. Instead, my skin looks supple when properly hydrated and moisturized and only gets dry and tight if I forget to moisturize.
