Works Great, Great Price
Took a few minutes to slip on, fits nice and snug and is the perfect length and inner diameter for an uncut Hydrapak or Camelback hose and can be shortened as needed. Out in the heat and sun it works as intended and saves me from having to force water back inside the bladder after each drink to keep the water in the hose from being super hot.

Helps out
This won't keep the water in your tube from freezing on an entire hike at cold temps (<20F) but it does move the needle in my opinion. Used in combo w/warm water in bladder, blowing it back in after drinking, and getting the bite valve close to your body when it needs to thaw does the job. This, to me, is far better than futzing with insulated water bottles while wearing thick gloves/mittens and holding two poles.

There is a trick to putting this on easily
Before I bought this, I read about how some people complained about how hard it was to put on the tube. My solution was simple: I knew that I could get away with losing about 3/4 of an inch of tubing. I cut the tube off at where it attached to the connector that attaches to the bladder. I slipped the sleeve over the tube real easily. I sliced along the little bit that was still on the connector to remove it. I got the connector wet, the slid it back into the tube. I didn't lose much length that I could even notice and I was in business. Total time was about 2 minutes. I purchased my sleeve to insulate against the heat so my water would be nice and cool when I drank it. It does a pretty good job and I'm happy that I bought it.

Doesn't fit standard camel pack straws. Don't waste your money.
You could probably use this if you want to shimmy it for hours provided it doesn't break before hand. Does not fit well at all, not worth even trying.

Works. Easy to get on once you figure it out
The product works. Added it to my camelback and have gone skiing a few times in sub-freezing temps and it’s held up and kept the water from freezing in the tube. This thing was impossible to get on at first and after a 1/2 hr I was about ready to give up and call it a loss. Then I tried a method and got it on easily in 5 minutes.Slide a chopstick into the end of the tube to give it firmness and slide the cover over the tube. Using grippy neoprene garden gloves (this is key for grip), push the cover over the chopstick part multiple times until it’s all bunched up where you can’t push. Then pull it straight down the tube until there’s no slack. Push, bunch up, pull. Repeat, takes 5 minutes.

Measure your tube diameter before ordering!!!!
Three stars just based on difficulty of getting it on. I didn’t measure my tube because it isn’t a camelback brand and that was a mistake on my part. If it wasn’t needed immediately for a vacation I would have sent it back. It took me almost 2 hours of pulling and sliding to get this on. It does its job, but I hope I never have to remove it.Update: I’ve used it for two days and it’s worked great.

Patience will get you there.
I have not verified the performance of the sleeve, but I'm confident the neoprene-like material will help to keep the water in the tube cool, and eliminate that initial pull of warm water we all hate to experience. I am using an Ozark Trail backpack with a water bottle. I did end up cutting the tube at the base of the mouthpiece, because I was not able to separate the two- plus the flared end may have made for a more difficult installation. I did what others mentioned, and pushed/bunched the sleeve a little at a time until I was able to work the sleeve all the way to the end of the bladder. I did notice that after (inadvertently) getting sleeve wet that portion was the most difficult to slide down the tube. My recommendation is for a dry installation, push a little at a time and continue working the sleeve until it is fully installed. Unless it has no insulation properties, I would recommend this sleeve. There are bladders with the tube already insulated for the same price as the sleeve alone, but I had no need for an additional, uninsulated bladder.

It does what I wanted it to do
I really just wanted to hide my red drinking tube with a proper earth tone color. It also provides a measure of insulation so that the first gulp of water isn't too hot or too cold.Installation was pretty easy using soapy water.

Seems to be perfect.
I only just installed this insulator but it seems very good. At first I thought it was too tight, it takes a small amount of effort to install, but I quickly realized it is exactly the right size.

Good quality
Hard to get on but managed it in less than 30 min. Seller should include the maximum allowable tube diameter to avoid unhappy customers. Did not fray or unravel while wrestling with it

Very thin and not practical
I used this while snowshoeing and skiing. Water froze in the entire tube. The neoprene foam is very thin and this product is not suitable for any winter activity. Look elsewhere.

Tight fit
Make sure the insulation will fit your water hose …
