Great fountain pen for beginners
This pen is very good for beginners. It is a bit hard to get ink flow started but once it’s flowing good to go

Not impressed at first...but, this is an awesome product
For some reason this product didn't grab me at first. However, I have continued to use it and this is a pretty awesome product! The ink is a brilliant color and this pen does not skip. At first it was tough to get it started...but, over time it has become one of my favorite fountain pens to sketch with. Because of the slow start for me...I would not recommend this product as a gift. This product was a good purchase for me. One thing you might think about is purchasing multiple items when you purchase something small like this. One item's shipping can be more expensive than the item...I purchased this item in bulk. Thanks.//Chuck

Hit or miss if you'll get a good one
These are great when they work. I have had some that start with just a little scribbling, and once they’re started, they last a long time, and they produce a beautiful line. When you get a good one you get a clean line, no skips, no issues. They’re great for drawing and writing. I absolutely love them.I have had some that won’t start at all, or start and immediately stop, almost as though they were out of ink right out of the box. They’re not at all useable, and I have needed to throw them out. I don’t know if it’s a quality control issue. I don’t know if they’ve been stored too long. I don’t know if there’s something going on with the seller. All I know, once in a while you get a dud that just doesn’t work. For star rating I’m taking the average. The best I can say with these is they’re hit or miss. I would love to see a more reliable product.

Faulty/Defective
I must assume that this is some kind of defective fluke. This pen was exactly what I was looking for: a sepia-toned, fountain-style pen to try out as someone who doesn’t often reach for this type of drawing implement. I’ve never purchased anything by Copic before, but I’ve heard good things from fellow artists. My experience was that the pen did not even have enough ink to fill a single page of test letters! It was completely dry in under 10 minutes. As this product is well-reviewed enough I can only assume I received a defective product. At the price point of nearly ten dollars I am cutting my losses: can’t be bothered to ship it back for a refund, nor do I want to try another one.

Pen does not work well.
I have several of these drawing pens from copic and this one performs differently than others. The ink is inconsistent and the nib doesn't hold a line. It's very frustrating to use and rarely performs right at the beginning of a line. It's like the pen is almost out of ink. I'm sure it's simply a manufacturing anomaly.

Great Quality with Minuscule Problem
The quality of the writing is great & issues are rarely encountered during low velocity writing (High velocity not recommended). The only small downside, at least for me, is the startup. Some scribble or slow lining is required to have the pen disperse ink. This issue can, however, be used to its advantage, so it's not a huge problem. The colour is also a mix of a deep brown & pure black, however this blend works very well for drawing in my opinion. No other issues.

Great Fountain Pen!
This is a great fountain pen! This pen works really well for fine line and detail work because you are able to put down lines of various widths depending on how much pressure and speed is used. BE AWARE: this is not a normal fineliner or ball point pen and will not preform like one. All the negative reviews im seeing are from people who dont know how to or when to properly utilize a fountain pen. So be sure you know what your ordering!

Coptic Drawing Pen
Good ink flow. I wish it came in wider points too.

Nice Fine Line Fountain Style Drawing Pen
I bought this pen to write journal entries on scrapbooking projects. Its a nice pen and easy to hold. The nib is very fine, and can be a little scratchy at times but does not inhibit pen use. I like that I can write very fine lined, clean text that looks very neat and tidy on my scrapbooking projects. The nib is made from strong steel and feels well made and not likely to break. Its disposable but if you search on Google there are ways to refill it if you so desire. I will purchase again if required as I love the fine crisp line this pen gives.

Good quality pen, just a lot harder to control for me
Just want to start off by saying this is a really high quality pen.The ink runs smoothly and doesn't seem to smudge after waiting a couple of seconds and using Copic markers over the image. The reason Im giving it a 3 star is only due to the fact this is a really difficult to use pen for me. The fountain pen shape allows ink to flow out, though I can't seem to get different widths of lines regardless of how hard or soft I use it. Comparing it to my Copic multiliner SP I had a lot less control. The fountain style is cool, but you really have to be conscious of how youre holding it or the ink will not come out and or you'll scratch up your paper. The ink itself is super black and like I said before it doesn't seem to smudge, though if you were trying you definitely could.I've attached 2 random doodles I did outlining the differences between the two pens for an example. This is not a bad pen, just something I don't think I will be continuing to use for my style.
