A superb story taking us through the life of a man who changed the lives of many millions of people. I am proud to call John not just a friend, but brother. The journey he takes us on through this story is all consuming and enlightening on the life experiences of Lord Baden-Powell. The book is full of facts and fun details related to scouting and it’s origination. This book, albeit written for children, is a must read for all scouts and scouters, yet this book is not only for scouters. Well done John.

Well written book on scouting history

If you want to know as a Scout leader what the Founder had in mind, and how he wanted to influence youth, buy and read this book. It's like talking to B-P himself! He lived in a very different age and many of his views and ideas might strike the modern Scouter as unexpected, but take the time to learn and you will be a better leader for it.
