The Secret World of Mermaids (8) (The Kingdom of Wrenly)

Everything was good- the book, the shipping, and the quality. The book came early, and it was the best quality! Epic! Not a single imperfection!

My 9 year old is totally binging this series. I had to tell her only one book a week because she adores them and can finish one in a day now.

My 7-year old son LOVED The first seven books of this series. The author can't write fast enough for him! I pre-ordered this book and my son was elated when at last it arrived; he ripped open the envelope and disappeared gleefully with The Secret World of Mermaids. When he resurfaced about 45 minutes he said "well, that was a stinker". He was bitterly disappointed, and I was shocked. Again, he really loved all the books in the series until this one. When I asked why he thought it was such a stinker he explained "there was no mystery, no adventure, nothing actually happened". He said that the central character met a mermaid, that was it. I read through the book after this and have to agree that it was nothing like the others - very dull and without spark or shine. It seemed like the author was just checking a box by writing this book. Sad. It was a fun and lively series until this latest book.

My 8yr old reads at very high level, so she blows through these books in about a half an hour. But she Loves every second of them!!

My 9 1/2 year old boy loves this series. It keeps his attention and that is what matters. Is a bit easier reading overall but a good intro to chapter books between easy reading and teen chapter books.

I read this book a while ago and it is a little different. But when I saw the cover I open the book and started to read like I said it is a little different but still very excited.
