Straight forward - sounds and works good.
Great product - easy to install (minus the backup camera) - lots of good install videos on YouTube. So far so good:)

Very clean
I absolutely loved this unit! Unfortunately got into an accident one week after install(their fault) unfortunately I spent several hours installing this and the back up cam. It worked flawlessly. Very nice product. IT is what you need to update a car to a more modern feel!Back up cam is definitely something I’d recommend investing in as well. All of the wires hook up easily. It took me 30 or so minutes to remove the old unit and install this. It took me about 2 hours to install the back up camera because there is trim you have to remove so all the wires are hidden. I couldn’t find a whole lot online but if you pay attention to the wires you will be fine!Unfortunately I can’t update about longevity but I can say for the week I had it, it was amazing!

Great product, misleading advertising, zero instructions
Overall I am very happy with this head unit as a replacement to the factory system. The Android auto feature (the sole reason I purchased this) works flawlessly. The DSP also works very well and has a surprisingly large amount of adjustability. I was not expecting this and was pleasantly surprised.Another reason I chose this particular unit was for the advertised heated seat integration that would allow me to remove the physical buttons that were already getting displaced by the new head unit. Yes, the functionality is in the software but it is buried under multiple windows to activate them. I wish there was an easier method to access this feature. The mounting brackets provided with the kit were very well designed and aligned perfectly with my 2008 E92. However, the lack of any installation instructions made for a very confusing puzzle trying to guess where all the pieces went into which locations. Additionally, the HVAC location is recessed far underneath the radio making it impossible to read the temperature settings from the normal driving position for anyone who's over 6 feet tall. Finally, the "boot" time is substantially longer than the advertised 1 second. It's probably closer to 10 seconds when doing a full boot up. It's possible to put the system into standby after shutting off the ignition, but the system will still go into a full shutdown after a maximum configurable time of 1 hour. Additionally, connecting to wireless Android Auto takes an additional 15-20 seconds after bootup. This is noticeably longer than any other wireless Android Auto system I use.

This deck sound awesome....
This deck sounds awesome .... for those who say it does not sound as good as the factory ... they have to master the controls of the deck. Built in DSP with adjustable dynamic loudness and bass, a 30 band graphic eq and individual high and low pass filters and delay for the front and rear channels is all you need. I switched up my setup in my BMW E90 320D a bit. I had the professional system in the car so i swapped the front and rear deck speakers with 4 x 4 inch JBL coaxials. 2 x Earthquake SWS 8 inch underseat subs, and 2 x 12 inch Infnity subs in a custom E90 enclosure. This is driven by a 1100 watt 5 channel amp. So I have the 4 inch speakers connected like this. Left front and rear speakers on channel 1 (left) of the amp. Right front and rear speakers on channel 2 (right) of the amp. I have set the high pass filter of the front outputs (Ch1 and Ch 2) on the head unit to 180 Hz I leave the low pass filter for the front channels off. I have bypassed the crossovers in the amp for channels 1 to 4 and set the bass cross over frequency to its maximum of 150Hz. Now the 2 x SWS subs are connected to channels 3 and 4 of the amp respectively. I have set the high pass filter of the rear outputs (Ch3 and Ch 4) on the head unit to 80 Hz. I have set the low pass filter for the rear channels to 1.2 kHz (It cannot go any lower). So I can fade between the 4 inch speakers and the underseat subs to get a perfect balance without using the equalizer yet. The 12 inch subs are then used to add the thunder. i have dialed in 1.9 ms of delay for the front and rear speakers and you can hear the "hole" disappear that is caused by the speakers not all being in the same position and voice coils aligned. A slight tweaking of the EQ to smooth out the bumps at the cross over points make it all come together. It sounds amazing. I can play from Trap to Jazz and I mainly just have to adjust the output of the sub from the center console mounted volume knob. I have added a 4 port usb hub to each of the usb cables. I have the carplay usb cable run with an extension to the center console and this is where I have 2 x 64 usb sticks with my media on and the other usb cable is run to the glovebox. The front DVR camera is plugged into the hub on this cable and I have more ports available in both places for other things. I must say the EONON techsupport team is wicked and I have asked them over 15 questions and they answered all. For example my car is right hand drive so the door ajar indicator was wrong for me. There are password protected menus for settings that you would only need to change once. You will not read this anywhere in the manual but once you ask the question, they will get back to you soon. Now ... What I do not like about the deck ...... (not much but) (1) The deck should have had 4 to 6 gigs of ram. It would have made it a bit more responsive when you have a couple of apps running but the truth is once you get over the installation you will mainly use about 2 apps when on the road. Also it could have been 64 gigs of onboard storage. It does not have an SD card slot so that is why I bought the USB hubs and those metal Samsung 64 gig sticks work well. (2) I received the OBD bluetooth dongle as a free gift and it works, but I also have the OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner for iPhone, Android, and Windows, a $100 bluetooth dongle and It would not pair the head unit at all. I also have Bimmer Geeks Protool diagnostic software and I use this with the usb cable plugged in to the usb hub and it works fine with the program. I am waiting on the Bimmer Geeks bluetooth dongle to see if it works. (3) I like the fact that the music player can access the eq and dsp directly but it could do a better job of accessing the folder structure of the usb sticks. (small stuff). (4) With my previous Eonon head unit, when I was using google maps it could be set to duck the music playing when it made an announcement or it could add its announcement to the music without ducking the music. This is the way I prefer it as the continuous ducking of the music gets really annoying. I asked them about it but the solution they gave me only adjusted the level of the announcement but it still ducked the music. I'm not sure if they understood me correctly or not... If someone out there knows how to do this .. please post it here.( this is my most annoying thing. This is my third Eonon head unit and I had to upgrade to get the latest operating system and even though I see someone complains and says that it is not Android 10 I am like ok... I need this to play music and run the latest apps and as far as I know most new apps will run on anything from Android 7 and up so don't let that bit of information discourage you. Oh and one more thing.... you will need to get 2 1/2 inch screws to secure the unit. As most people have realized except Eonon, those supplied screws may work in the bottom holes but not the top holes.

Was not a Direct fit
The add says if you have the 8 speaker wires you don’t need the decoder module. After waiting for it to show up I installed it and I have no sound so now I have to order the $100 module on top of that after expecting a direct for. Also the bezel for the climate control came broken. The stereo seems like good quality but was disappointed I couldn’t use it right away and the bezel was broken

Great upgrade
Easy to install and worked great. Paired right away but then stopped working. Just had to download the update and works great now.

Screen adhesive poor quality
Six months old and the screen fell off completely. I give it two stars because other than that, it has worked fine and the price was low.
