Pricey but: Must have if your regulator is not within reach
My compressor is about 20' from my work station and this valve allows for easy pressure adjustment. They are not like the cheaper valves that are really useless for pressure adjustment. They have a little more than 3 full rotations from off to wide open.. I can set my regulator to well above 60psi and fine tune the pressure without having to get up. I've found that they tend to get loose and start to leak so I apply a dot of blue loctite to both the hose end and the quick-connect end making for a connection that never un-screws its self.

Great items must have
When I initially bought my Iwata Smart Jet air compressor I was initially miffed that it didn't come with a proper regulator that would allow the compressor to auto-shutoff even when at low pressure. Well that goodness I found this little thing. It not only allows me to lower my air pressure without having to "bleed" the air using the Smart Jet's regulator, it allows for the auto-shutoff to actually work. And best of all, I can change the pressure at the brush on the fly instead of having to stop and bend down adjust the regulator at the air compressor. This is a great time saver and the perfect solution to those who own the Iwata Smart Jet and hate the bleed valve regulator. I am purchasing another one for my other compressor (the Iwata Power Jet Pro) even though it has a proper regulator just because it works great and I won't have to fiddle adjusting the air pressure at the regulator.

a great Accessory for Eclipse Series Brushes and "Similar" if threads will fit.
ok for those looking for that extra "Something" for fine tuning your air for your Airbrushes this is something to check out, i had several of the other kinds, "Given to Me" to test, and for the money? you will spend more, so best to get the one that like "All Iwata" products you cant go wrong."Buy it Once" and invest in the "Right Tool" for the job..now again if you do not have a "Trick" manifold like the 2 i have and have a number of Airbrushes, this is great!on a second station i have 3 of my work horse Eclipses and sometimes with the Media i will be using sometimes a small adjustment is needed, and instead of "Dialing in each Regulator"(Diaphragm regulators Highly Recommended!) you just turn the Knob on the fly!! and your all set.and Stippling effects are easy instead of the years of practice like us old school Airbrush users used to use!from the towel to the "popsicle Stick Trick" like back in the day before the "Iwata Microns"so heavier mediums can be Atomized easier and lower viscosity Mediums can be Atomized at lower bar levels(aka psi level) which can be handy if using older water based paints Acrylics or Enamels that are not "Water Based" Resin Born types... that have that higher viscosity.so you can hit a T-shirt using higher bar level to lower bar levels for finer "Detail" with a single airbrusha great option if your not doing major production stuff and casual things, or your just like those options for that "May not Always be Needed? but there when I Do" concept, this is a great Accessory.

Yea, but…
I’ve seen a number of other valves that are like this, and they’re a lot bigger. This one is low profile and very sensitive, you can cut down the airflow pretty quickly and easily from flow to spatter. However, do you like that nice black finish? It scratches off extremely easily. Mine started to get scratches an hour out of the box. Brass under.

amazing.As expected
This product is as amazing as I knew it would be. It showed up quicker than expected. I'll be getting more for my other Spray guns.

Great little addition
This little guy is great esp. if you've got an airbrush that doesn't have a built in airflow valve.Having an inline valve on my airbrush's quick disconnect lets me finely tune to whatever my current paint load needs.

Great for finetuning airflow
Great for finetuning airflow.Only downside was, its thread seems not to properly fit my fast-swap adapter, even though adapter and this MAC fit well on other parts. I'll have to investigate where the isue lies, meanwhile I had another additional adapter that fits both threads - works but makes the whole thing bulky

OK
Really just a restrictor orifice. It did not improve the spraying performance of my HP-B+ airbrush, but it allows you to adjust your air pressure right at the airbrush. For my application, I prefer to use an instrument regulator on the end of a 1.5m air hose to the airbrush. If you want a stippling effect, the MAC valve will allow you to do this quickly ‘on the fly’.
