Lowrider Solid Color Bicycle Grips

Even slicked up, these were a workout to get installed all the way. They are slightly undersized, and may have benefitted from being boiled before installation. I tend to change handlebars and grips a lot, which makes lock-ons the smart choice. When I realized my long suffering hands could not tolerate the grips, I had to cut them off to avoid marring the handlebars. They look good on a vintage bike, but probably better on chrome bars than easily damaged aluminum, in case you change something. I actually run original factory grips on an old Schwinn, but they have a built-in cushion pocket, and are tolerable. These grips look authentic, and are handsome, but require gorilla strength to get the last quarter inch on, and should be considered permanent. If you value looks over comfort and installation ease, they may work for you. These hurt my big hands just to rest them on the grips to push the bike around. I may go with cycling gloves in addition to ergo grips, but maybe your hands have not had such a hard life.Appearance: A+Everything else: D

No problems. Would recommend instructions on placing. Took forever to remove b/c could only place 1 inch on. Finally removed and used Vaseline and they glided on.

Not the same color as pictured. Very hard to get on and so tight I cannot turn them into correct position.
