Outstanding
It's simple, but strongly highlights the sophistication and efficiency of our current Arabic base 10 system. Seeing all of these predecessors, with different approaches, pros and cons, and incremental progress, is eye opening. And, for children, it makes more concrete some of the harder and more abstract points of basic arithmetic, like carrying digits; bc when you try these in the Egyptian system, it's really obvious what's going on!

Great concepts, kind of long
This is a great little workbook for anyone interested in learning ancient number systems. My students especially liked the Greek and Egyptian number systems. However, for classroom use, this is kind of long. I will definitely not require some pages for my students next year.

Fun and educational for a range of ages
My children (ages 8 and nearly 13) love this book. It's filled with activities that are educational and enjoyable. They've been sharing one book, but it's consumable (you write in it) and I suspect I'll need to buy a second pretty soon.

Great Tool for Teaching number concepts
This book presents a series of worksheets that progressively from the most primitive number systems to more modern number systems such as binary. Each set of worksheets allows students to learn and interact with the different number systems and ultimately compare them, thus giving students a deeper understanding and appreciation of our own number system. They can also serve as a bridge between math and social studies.
