Fun book about words/stories
I love this book. So much. The kids absolutely adore it, we've read it a million times. It has really encouraged the kids to start noticing words and start making their own stories. My 4 year old loves to cut out words from newspapers and magazines now and is working very hard on making her own silly stories with the words she cut out. She doesn't quite understand grammar yet so she asks for help sometimes to pull her stories together but the book itself is nice, a fun read.

Nice read aloud!
Very cute story. I am using this as a read aloud with my fourth graders to get them started on their own word collections to use in their writing. It is also nice for starting a discussion on revising- the words make very different stories when they are rearranged!

Great Children's Book
This book is great for introducing words to children. If your little ones have mastered their letters and sounds this book is perfect for them to see what they do and what they do when they come together. It also is a great book that is great to read before an activity of counting out words and making a short story. 1st thru 4th grade teachers would love this book for their students!!!

Great!
Everyone collects something- Max collects words. Max learns to string his word collection together to create super sentences! This was an inspiration to the students in my class and we started our own collection of words (advanced vocabulary words) to spice up their writing. Anything that gets them use better word choice in their writing is awesome in my book!

Word Collector Extraordinaire
I love this book. When Max's brothers refuse to share part of their collection with him, he solves his own problem by finding something he can collect--words. He's smart, resourceful, and has the grace to share with his brothers even though they wouldn't share with him. And everyone has fun in the end.
