Waverely 79" Extra Wide Baby Gate with Door - Hardware Mounted Safety Gate for Hallways, Doorways, and Stairs

This gate is the 2nd we got for the stairs, returning the first. It was easy enough to install, but we could get it smaller, so it does stick out quite a bit. It doesn’t make the area unwalkable, just a little more difficult. We love the auto close feature!

Our basement is like our family room so it was important for us to have a baby gate for the staircase to prevent our 1 year old from climbing up. This baby gate works perfectly.

This is almost exactly what I needed. I wish it were just a bit longer but it should work. It's very sturdy. I haven't attach it to the walls yet.

We needed a gate in our cabin to separate the living area from the bedroom without closing the door. I want the dogs kept out of the bedroom until actual bedtime, but still need airflow throughout the cabin.This gate allws me to separate the space and still shut the door if needed without drama. It is wide enough to create a bit of a curve at the doorway so there's room to maneuver. It attaches directly to the wall on both ends with screws rather than as a pressure mount set up. It is a short gate, so big dogs can easily pop over it if they are so inclined.The door swings one way with the block in place and is easy to open. The entire gate is very lightweight, so you definitely need to attach it properly - just a simple bump will knock it down. I do like it overall and it meets my requirements comfortably.

This baby gate is great quality! I like that it's wide so it can go across the stairs or wide doorways. The gate door is easy to open in either direction. It was easy to put the gate up and its strong whether you use for a kid or dogs. I use this for my dogs and this is high enough for my little dogs (Mini Pin & chi & Papillon) so they won't jump over it.

Came broken.

First a disclaimer...we do not use this for children but rather pets. Personally I think that it might be tougher to contain our 80lb bouncing four legged babies and this manages to hold up. Over the years we have gone through a LOT of gates. Plastic ones, metal, wood of all shapes and sizes. This is a repeat of one we own in a different color and to date, it's held up better than most. Strong, sturdy and reliable. It's not the easiest to install...in fact, it's a bit of a pain but worth the effort in durability.

This seems like a great product. Minus one flaw. The gate is the only thing you get in the package. It does not come with hardware to install it. Screws and Mollys are something you need to purchase separately. This of course was not explained in the details prior to purchasing, and it doesn’t tell you what size or recommend ANYTHING. So 2 stars for the gate that could have been great.
