Does its job well.
Make sure to wash it, but besides that, it’s nice. I use this in my micro reef tank and my rainbowfish tank and it buffers the water quite well.

great for raising ph!
our ph kept crashing so we bought this to mix in with the existing gravel in our tanks and it fixed the problem, water now stays stable at 7.6 from the 6.4-6.6 it kept dropping toedit - we redid our tanks and ended up putting this in pantyhose inside our hob or canister filters and putting it near or on top of the sponge filters in our smaller tanks. it still helps keep ph up but it's easier to regulate how much you want to raise it up to and the substrate is much easier to clean/vacuum.

Pretty once rinsed but OMG THE DUST
This looked really nice in my tank once the dust settled and cleared, but there is just sooooo much dust. It didn’t take all that long to clear (I ran the tank with 3 layers of filter floss for 1 day and it was mostly clear), but then there was still a fine layer on every surface in the tank, including on top of the sand. Even after rinsing. So prepare yourself for dealing with the dust.

Beautiful sand that helps the reefs!
I have three saltwater aquarium "reef" tanks and have used Fiji Pink and another popular brand for two of them. I chose this sand for the third and it is absolutely gorgeous - I got the "coarse" kind which doesn't blow around as much in a tank with moderate flow (I have LPS and SPS corals). Perfect size, very clean, just as nice as the Fiji and ethically sourced to help support coral reefs, am very happy with this purchase!

Very good
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been doing that for years, but I give advice to wash the sand real good before put it in

Bought to raise ph in aquarium
I bought this to raise ph in my aquarium. Works well so far and has been a gradual increase over the last 2 weeks. Has now seemed to peak at 7.2.I rinsed with water to get off dust and other floaters. Then sprinkled a small amount around my 20 gal aquarium (1/2 cup). It has slowly disolved and raised my ph exactly how I wanted. Also fyi 10lbs is A LOT. This will last me for a looooong time.

I use it for chickens, not a fish tank
It is much to expensive and only sand. I read about how good this is supposed to be for chicken grit. When it was delivered, we were shocked so we mixed it with bigger grit from Tractor Supply
