Great Quality Black Thai Ranchu!
The media could not be loaded. TLDR: Amazing Ranchu for anyone looking for pets & nice starter fish for those looking to breed (detailed description below).I’ve been looking to find nice or better quality Black Thai Ranchu to begin breeding and establish a line, and happened upon this listing. I purchased a trio from this seller in November & received three pet-quality Ranchu that would be perfect for anyone simply wanting healthy, happy fish, however 2 of them would not be useful for breeding due to genetic tail issues and backs that weren’t smooth.I reached out to the seller, explained the issue with my order and they responded very quickly and respectfully. They even offered to refund me for my order or send extras as replacements with the purchase of a single fish. I opted for the second option and was immediately impressed by the selected fish as soon as I took their bag out of the shipping box! They were small at around 1.5” - 2” from tip of the head to the tail. This is not an issue, as younger fish tend to be more resilient to less than ideal water parameters compared to older, larger fish, especially during shipping. Two of the three had incredibly smooth backs and tails that were set well, even meeting show standards, while the third still had a nice top line and a slightly wider than desired tail split (see video). The heads already show signs of wen growth and are beginning to square, which makes them look even cuter! The black color is fairly deep and mostly consistent, with very few gold flecks showing underneath in full spectrum lighting. They are incredibly active, hungry little guys that provide a great deal of entertainment!Overall, a great experience and I’m looking forward to seeing how their black develops over time, as well as the babies they can produce!

Waste of time
Waste of time... The fish are over priced, small and sick on arrival. I bought two fish from this seller and both came with ich and we’re only about 1 1/2inch to about 2 inches long. I spent about a week trying to save the fish and they died. You can get cheaper better quality fish at Kingkoi! Btw in the beginning the fish look healthy and they look well but as my time grew as a goldfish keeper I realized that the fish showed emotional and behavioral signs of sickness and trauma from shipping. Not only is it the first three that I listed but it’s also a purchase that will unsure sick fish with or without ich included! Please just go to King Koi or Goldfish Island. The fish are bigger, come healthy and are shipped well!

Very happy! So adorable!
I love him!! :) He is perfect and he came exactly as described! This is my second Ranchu I ordered from this place and both were extremely healthy. He fits right in with the rest of the gang! He’s so adorable! I am so happy with him and my calico one I ordered months ago. If I decide to get more fish I definitely would buy from them with no worries! Customer service was excellent too. Answered all my questions and did so in a quick response. He also cane packed very well and within two days!! Very pleased!

Small, cute, stressed
Smallest fish I have received from this seller.Slightly disappointed in that as I was excited for a black ranchu.Wasn’t able to survive the stress.

Fast shipping, healthy fish
The little guy arrived in under 24 hours. He had a ton of water and a cold pack so he wouldn’t overheat. As of writing this right now he is healthy. He’s eaten, pooped, he doesn’t have any troubles swimming, and has no signs of illness or stress. He’s a lot smaller than expected, but a ranchu for this price is a sweet deal, so size doesn’t really bother me. If you have large goldfish in your tank I wouldn’t suggest adding this ranchu in as he is about the size of a betta and might be eaten. My goldies are just barely bigger than him so I’m fine.I’d love it if the seller offered more one packs for ranchus of different colors.

Too cute... Baby Black Ranchu
10/6 and EDITED: Fish died, I consider myself at least a intermediate fish keeper.... I couldn’t save this little guy. Received Friday afternoon...gone by Tuesday early morning.10/2 I for one never ever write a review. But this order impressed me. I had a question regarding shipping and received a reply within a couple hours. Fish was received promptly, active, and appears healthy, time of order to by front door was literally 24 hours or less. The fish is very small...but that is stated in description.

Can't wait till he's bigger, the cutest
The media could not be loaded. I received a baby oranda and baby ranchu from this seller, and they arrived in a timely manner, packaged appropriately, and healthy. For those complaining of their size, it is important to remember that by SMALL, they mean baby, so take care of them and they will grow in no time. Also, most breeders sell these fish the same age and size for $100-$200, so if you feel it's "too small", for the price, then you probably don't know enough about these fish to own one. Additionally, make sure to cycle your tanks and ease these fish into your tank temperature. DOA policies are there for a reason, how you transition your fish into their new home is 90% of the battle. It's been a few weeks and mine are loving their home and I'm loving having them.
