I commute to and from work with walking and public transportation. This was a great investment!! I have used it on several rainy days so far and it has saved my bag (with computer, notebooks, etc.) from getting soaked through. I love the bright color. It is lightweight and has a little pouch which barely takes up space in my bag. I have the pro slim laptop bag from ebags and it is a perfect fit over it. Elastic holds well and it is not baggy. The clip straps are nice too. It also dries very quickly

Let me preface this by saying that although I think this cover is far from perfect, I bought a second one after a shakedown with the first and anticipate buying more as the current ones wear out.Pros:- It’s waterproof—kept my pack dry in three hours of moderate rain- Easy to put on and tighten, even with rain mitts on- Fits over tall packs and packs with brains- Fits over a dog pack (I cut off one direction of the straps and clip the other under his belly)- Comes with a sack- Cost is very good- Fairly durable and abrasion resistant. Had a few light scrapes and it came through without issue but I wouldn’t take it too far off trail. I’m about 50 rain miles in and haven’t needed to reseal anywhere but the bottom.- XX Large weighs 3.3 oz without sack. Large weighs 2.9 oz without the sack. This is great for this price pointCons:- No bottom reinforcement so bottom waterproofing wore out and I got a few small tears from putting it on the ground. Easy to patch and reseal but annoying and adds weight- Not the best fit over packs without vertical height. If the elastic can’t “wrap” over the top (for example when the shoulder straps connect with the top of the pack), water gets in at that point. Use of an umbrella negates this issueColor is not as vibrant as pictured. The blue is muted and the orange is more of a burnt orange than a “don’t shoot, I’m not prey” orange. I’ll be getting another color for hunting seasonSizing is not accurate, especially if you carry anything on the outside of your pack. I bought a XXL for a 65L Osprey Ariel pack (and a L for a Groundbird Gear Medium/~20L dog pack)Other:-Sack is not attached to the cover and has a zippered closure. Depending on your preferences these are pros or cons.- As with most (all?) pack rain flies, your back will get wet using this without an umbrella

I didn’t want rain to ruin my books/technology, so I bought this and… it works GREAT! Keeps my back and its stuff completely dry.

I have been so happy with this product. Awesome protection in rain. Used it a bunch of times already. Its lightweight size makes it easy to carry rain or shine -- whose packing and unpacking or checking weather reports DAILY. The straps are effective -- perfectly placed and of adequate length.I have an extra large backpack and a regular size. This worked on both. Again very happy with this purchase.

This was exactly what I needed for a trip to beautiful (but rainy) Ireland. It protected my backpack perfectly. I recommend threading one strap vertically through the top loop on your backpack and one horizontally (like a +) so that it does not move. Love the small pouch it fits into - easy to carry and have ready for unexpected rain.

I walk to work everyday and it rains a lot. So to protect things in my backpack is crucial. This thing works like a charm. It's secure, easy to apply and works very well.

Good size and fit. I wish I had commercialized this 45 years ago when I had a friend make my 1st one. Looks well made. The inside straps are an improvement on my original design.

I had a laptop and portable monitor in my backpack for daily work at all times. I ride a motorcycle to n fro. So i already tested during heavy rain. Nothing to dislike. Of course my backpack straps is wet. Most important it didnt seep it thru the cover. Great quality. With the additional straps to secure firmly around is a plus point. Highly reccomended.
