Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition - PlayStation 3

This is a great video game to have if you love Destiny and you love the PS3. For me as a collector It's great because now I own the complete Destiny experience in one collection for the PS3 Series. The bad side is if you haven't played Destiny and you want to experience it on the PS3 to the fullest you can't because the DLC codes have expired. So if you're looking to do that you would still get the physical core Vanilla game but you would need the DLC. You would have to get that on PSN Store. As for me I own all the DLC already so It's great for a nice add to my collection. So if you're a collector and you love Destiny then this is definitely a great pick up. I love it.

Before you order this game, you need to make sure you have a high bandwidth internet connection. I live in a rural area, and the download speed is - at best - around 2 Mbps, and my upload speed is normally 5-7 Mbps. It's good enough to play the game once you're in, but the problem I had was downloading the game's MASSIVE update. I eventually took my PS3 to a different location where I had about 20+Mbps, and even then it took a few hours to download via WiFi. The game plays fine now; I've had no lag playing at home, and no disconnects - yet.One other problem that a friend of mine had was using the codes for the extra content. You must go to the PS Store, redeem your code there, then download & apply the data. Once you're in the game, you must then go to the postmaster to receive your extra weapons, armor, etc.

The game is excellent but abuse that to make more $$$$money!DESTINY -1/10 WHY- After 3 weeks or 4 months announced a NEW EDITION of the game.- Order of history 1.2.3.4. 6.7.8.10 ... missing parts, Play missions 1-4 as 7 times never appeared to mission 5, and the remaining.- To play has to be online, what happens if someone does not have the network how will play, I do not mean multiplayer.- The game is for PS3 should have the same thing that comes out in PS4 Destiny Rise of Iron DLC , If it is not going to have the same thing PS4 , So that it came out in PS3 game.- for not making all the code expire in a long time like 2099, and those who buy the incomplete game for PS3 and with the code problem!!!!!!buyer ,if you are wanting to buy the game DESTINY PS3/XBOX360 (you are throwing your money to the garbage and you are being cheated by BUNGIE) * I leave a picture of when EXPIRE CODE! I played through most of the game, but I've grown bored with it. I picked it up to play with a friend, but we both found that there really wasn't any reason for us to work together to complete anything ( if you die you go back to a respawn point but you don't lose experience ), a level 5 mob can still hit and given enough time kill a level 30 and with only different types of guns to pick you can more or less fight from distance if you take your time and when they do get up and close your still just shooting them. Magic and grenades in the game are kind of pointless ( recharge time and amount you can carry ). It does have a lot of potential ( you need a space craft to teleport you between worlds and mission locations on the world but there isn't space battles at least as far as I got ).

this game is addicting, hope to see a Destiny 2, still plays well on the ps3, looks a little better ps4.Update:-After a while of playing Destiny on PS3, most all of my old fire team has gone on to PS4. I finally picked up a PS4 but am going to wait for Destiny 2, or may switch to Mass Effect Andromeda since I've played so many hours of Destiny 1 already. Played all 3 Mass Effect games on PS3, that story had much more depth than Destiny. Destiny 2 needs to put more thought in the story / campaign, its fun to co op with friends, do the raids but the enemies showed too little variety, the game is visually stunning but although addicting at first, didn't offer much by way of exploration or adventure. If Destiny 2 could incorporate the superb game play and coop of this plus beef up the campaigns and add an adventure or exploration component, would really blow away the competition.

Great game! My 7-year-old used to play Halo until I noticed some profanity. He was also getting nervous at bed time, and I determined that that game was too much for a young kid. This game, while still action-packed and even creepy at times, does not pit the player against humans. You shoot aliens and robots, and there is zero foul language. If you didn't know, this is made by the original Halo guys, so it shares some similarities. I think the variety of weapons and departure from linearity make this the winner, though.There are tons of upgrades to unlock. Probably hundreds of guns, from a magnum revolver, to throwing knives, to plasma rifles. You can customize your character's appearance and armor, and there are tons of locations to explore. My son loves this game. I would start my own game if I had more free time.

Value for money

Great game, this version comes with a lot of extra DLC which gives it more value, plus it saves time on downloading. The game is older, but there are still many players online, and tons of game play.

By son still hasn't stopped playing this.

I have been playing since day one and love the game maniacs. I'm not a PVP person, but there is PVE available so everyone can have fun.
