Dr. Elsey's Cleanprotein Wet Rabbit & Turkey 5.5 oz.

So far so good!! I purchased this for my 9 year old male a couple of days ago and it is EXACTLY what I was hoping for! He had been on a limited ingredient wet/dry diet for almost a year using Blue Buffalo and it just wasn’t cutting it! He is an indoor 90/outdoor 10 cat who found greater satisfaction eating the wildlife than the canned BB though the canned was always available. He would eat the dry BB but without getting enough moisture (and I thought he was a good drinker) he was having troubles in the box-making the ‘attempts’ without success. In addition, aside from becoming more lethargic, he was vomiting WAY more than was “normal” for my compulsive-grooming long-haired cat. The strange thing is his weight was still good (12.8 lbs) but his energy was not there. So off to the vet we went. Alas, the results came back negative and $190 later I decide on my own that perhaps he needs more moisture in his diet. THIS IS PERFECT!! The tastes of rabbit and turkey are a combo that is his FAVORITE- he never was a fish guy and chicken is just too ify these days. After a TON of research, I came upon this brand, and , fingers crossed, will be the solution. I understand the concern of the money but I feel as a pet owner, I owe it to him to get the very best that I can buy. I’m either going to pay it now for something he loves and is working or later when he has to go back to the vet for digestive or urinary tract issues as a result of sub-par food. It has been only 2 days and I think he’s looking much better! No vomiting, his energy is returning, and he LOVES it!! I’m also happy to report that I’m scooping his liter more! Only time will tell...(FYI...I hate doing reviews and I was NOT compensated in ANY way—though I would have loved that!😉 I reviewed this simply because I know I relied on others feedback in my search and it is what helped bring me to this product. i actually saw WAY more and way BETTER reviews written on this product on multiple sites elsewhere, and I would have purchased through them except for the fact that I have a very active Amazon account and getting the product sooner (and slightly cheaper) was more important. My cats love most of the Dr Elsey's canned flavors except the Salmon for some reason. The variety pack was out of stock for my subscription shipment this month so I went with their favorite flavor, Rabbit, as a replacement. The order was packed well, yet most of the cans are dented. I believe they were dented prior to packaging and also had an extra bag around the whole thing as if they knew some could potentially leak. This is unacceptable.

My 2 year old likes this, although she is not a picky eater and will pretty much eat anything. I feel it is a nutritious and well-balanced meal. I serve a wet meal in the morning and dry food in the afternoon.

I am so delighted to have discovered this cat food. My cat really loves the rabbit flavor. I love the fact that it has one of the healthiest cat-appropriate ingredient lists available. Wish they came in the smaller can size. But, besides that, this is a win-win!

Hi, I have ordered this food a couple times and this last order doesn't smell right. I am sorry that I have discovered this past the return date. This is a heads up to check the contents of a can at least as soon as you get it. I don't wnat to feed this to my cat, therefore I have lost about 50$!

Recieved my package today. $43.33 for a single can?! The product description states the package is 24 but it is not.

My cats really like this food. We have tried so many of the grain free ones out there, and this is one of their favorites. They also really like the pork flavor.

This was my first order for this product. I ordered a case of 24 and threw out 5 cans. Broken seal, bugs, rust. I will not order again! I am afraid to feed the other cans to my cats even though I washed them with soap and hot water.
