Serene Innovations SNHCSSHAKER Serene Bed Shaker

I am deaf and live alone in a rural N California forested area with high fire danger. I'm off-grid, no land line phones, just cellular service here and the closest neighbor is almost a mile away. I have a cochlear implant for hearing which works great when I am awake but I have to take the sound processor that hooks over the ear off to sleep. I've been looking for a ringer/flasher for my cell phone to wake me in emergencies. I was worried that the Serene Innovations ringer/flasher alone might not wake me out of a deep sleep so I also ordered the bed shaker accessory. "Bed Shaker" is a little misleading, it's more of a heavy vibration/pulsing. I just keep it under my pillow. It's slim enough that I don't feel a lump under the pillow. So if I have rolled over with my back to the flasher on the bedside table the shaker will still wake me every time. I highly recommend both.I have registered for text alerts with my county Office of Emergency Services and have programmed my phone with a custom vibration for their texts and the ringer/flasher to recognize the custom vibration. This eliminates nuisance texts, email alerts and voice calls from waking me except for important contacts I assign the custom vibration to. Instructions for this feature are in the manual .

This is a optional bed shaker that you plug in to the RF-200. It might work for other units but this is the until I use it for. It is very simple you just plug in, you’ll not sleep through any more phone calls or messages. I put the bed shaker under our mattress or you can put it under your pillow and it wakes us up with this vibration. The bed shaker vibrates in two different patterns—for incoming cell phone calls/messages it is a pattern of a long vibration followed by a very short vibration. For incoming landline calls it is a series of long vibrations. It really shakes the bed and wakes us up so we are not longer missing important calls through the night.

DOA. Plugged it into the RF-200 ( you need this to use this shaker) and nada. It's easy in that there is a spot right on the back of the RF-200 that is labeled "shaker". That being said there are absolutely no instructions that come with this unit. I was looking forward to this because as obnoxious that the RF-200 was, it didn't wake me up. This shaker is my last hope. Ordered another one so I'll come back to this review after I get.

It powerful vibrator

This thing wakes me every time. It is positioned between my mattress and a slat of my bed frame and it really shakes things up. The dogs are confused but to my wife's chagrin not enough to get them out of the bed.

It works like it says. But be warned it starts vibrating on the third ring.

I was very suspicious this was a gimmick. This works very well. Must be used with the base unit. Look for the group together. Quality product and will wake the dead!

Can't review because item did not work with my Innovations phone. These I guess are for alarm clocks.
