These sanding discs were a revelation when I tackled the daunting job of stripping 80 years and 10 layers worth of paint from an old door. They outperformed traditional methods, saving me hours. I would not attempt to use them on soft woods, veneer, or delicate items, as they can cause damage and great care still need to be taken on hard woods. Sanding will be required after, regardless, so its best to start with a test piece first, to ensure you're comfortable using them for wood. Use these to strip mill scale off of hot rolled steel. Works super fast! Better than 40 grit flap discs!

These work well for my current project prepping metal for painting. About as aggressive as a twisted or knotted wire brush but much cleaner as it seems to wick away paint and rust. However, they do not last like a wire brush. I find a bit of a shallow angle helps them last a bit longer. 1 disc got me through a torch welding cart, comparable to a hand truck, and might go a bit further. I am glad to get a pack of 5. I also use a stringer bead twisted wire brush for the tighter areas. If quick and easy is your thing, and don't mind that you will burn through these much quicker, than these are great at making short work of your task of similar use.

This will remove paint no problem. It will remove newer rust no problem. The deep rust requires a grinding wheel. But this is awesome for cleanup.

The disks work really well for stripping surface coatings off of sheet metal prior to welding. They clean up the surface faster than the flap disks I normally use and seem to last longer. For the price they are a great value and a good option to have for mill scale, coatings, oxidation, and other surface issues on mild steel. They also work fine for cleaning up splatter when you are done!

These things work great for paint and rust removal. You have to be very careful with your rotation and edges that your hitting or they wear out very fast.

First I hesitated to buy these strip discs of this brand. I decided to buy one European brand (one piece for $10.00 from HD). It totally worn out after I striped the old paint on one side of three pieces of a 2x6 4 ft framing wood. Then, I went back to order this product from Amazon. I was surprised that it works exceeding my expectation. It striped the old paint of a 4X4 8ft post ( 4 sides) of a gazebo. It strips the old paint very efficiently and does not have any worn-out sign. Good value. Highly recommend.

Glue doesn't hold well media comes off of disc, I used outdoors 70 degree day in the sun I guess was to much for the glue, media flew off like a fribee when I started grider. 2nd and 3rd disc worked ok.

I had 3 layers of paint on my railings and this took it off with such ease! Obviously they wear down but in a timely manner, nothing excessively fast. I will buy more if I need more, but I might have enough with just these 5.
